any idea how to stop "duck weed" in a pond?

I have a large 10,000 gallon pond gin clear, lots of fish and vegetation but masses of duck weed

I know it's a pain, but that duck weed is partly why you have 'gin clear' water... it's shading out any formation of algae.... seems your fish aren't interested in eating it, either.... best I can suggest is a large fine net to remove a goodly ammount every now and then.... but I'd never look to remove it all, unless algae is something you'd rather have to deal with....

can you get coverage with another plant like water lily or the 'other weeds' like water hyacinth and water lettuce?.... maybe putting the duck weed in competition for food will knock it down some?..
