Did the "Town Hall" format help one candidate more than another?

Did McCain blunder with the "that one" comment?

I think it helped Obama because he looked much more confident and Presidential while McCain was unable to sit still. McCain would not look at Obama which made him seem cold and weird.

Yes to your 2nd question but I think McCain's bigger blunder was when Obama had to call him out on his "Bomb bomb bomb Iran" comments.

By the way...the recent Rolling Stone article on McCain really sums up how much of a bastard he is.

A closer look at the life and career of John McCain reveals a disturbing record of recklessness and dishonesty:

The town hall format helped McWar, he would have been even worse otherwise, if that's possible.

Yes, when he points his finger and calls people, "that one" it just shows how angry and crude he is. What if next he points at and calls a foreign head of state, "that one"? Not presidential at all.

McBush is basically an Old Angry Bush clone, living in the past, still dreaming about dropping 500 pound bombs on people on the ground, talking about Regan and Roosevelt.

It's amazing anyone gives him any credibility at all.

    Obama/Biden 08!..

it was designed to favor McCain... i think he needs more than a setting to win this election! Obama came across as more "in-touch" even with the debate setup pandering to McCain.

and I agree, I mentioned to my husband last night that McCain seemed to be angry... and the disrespect he showed to Obama with that comment resonated with people, in a bad way!

I'd say so, I haven't watched the debate yet(was at work sadly). But the way the media is talking about it really hurts McCain when it comes to undecided voters, as he seems to come off abrasive, and just an asshole.

So far the Zogby Poll is showing McCain and Palin are in an "October Surge"!

Although Obama and his Obots will probably deny the McCain/Palin surge just like Obama refuses to admit that the "Surge" in Iraq has worked.

It was designed to help McCain. It didn't.

The Obama team is now running a commerical and have t-shirts printed with "that one" on them.

It was suppose to help McCain more... But it didnt seem like it did.. As far as the comment is concerned... I would say yes.. he did screw that one up....

But he has to do things like that.. its the only way for him to possibly get ahead..

Since they never talk specifically about anything the media has to turn to certain slip ups to even have anything to debate about. I think the liberal media, not Obama, won the debate.
