What else do we vote for on election day?

that depends on your area. Like, right now my area is currently running the school board elections, and state legislature and such.

And then there are some other issues on our ballot such as state budget funding for the Zoo, Arts, and Parks program, and whether or not to put forth funding for a city by-way to reduce traffic on Main street. Stuff like that.

But the issues on the ballot vary from county to county and state to state, so my issues are not your issues (except everyone votes for the president/vp)

They usually send us a little packet in the mail before each election with the various issues and a breif synopsis, I'm fairly sure they would do that in your area as well. If not, you might try emailing your city/county clerk's office and asking if there is a place where you can go familiarize yourself with the issues. Since it would REALLY suck to vote against something you like, or vice versa because you didn't know what it was.
