What are some good places to buy a formal dress on Oahu that aren't too expensive?

    Try Calista at Kahala Mall--they often have sales on formal dresses. Also, Ross in Hawaii Kai sometimes has very nice stuff.

    I agree with the Ross answer. It just depends on what they have in stock at the time and how lucky you are in finding it. You'll have to dig through the racks a lot. But, it's definitely worth a look because I saw a great wedding dress/white prom dress for only $29.99. It was perfect - no rips or holes.

    I don't know about the prices but there are several shops along King St in downtown. One of them was Do's Formal, I think one is called Downtown Fashion or it might be Downtown Formal. Look near Maunakea St and King St.
