Why won't my car's interior lights turn off?!?
I have a 97 Pontiac Bonnevillse SSEi. Today I got in my car and started to drive, and I noticed that my interior lights wouldn't shut off. Door lights, overhead lights, etc. Everything that would turn on when the door is open wouldn't shut off. I checked the doors, the trunk, all the switches and owner's manual and I'm stumped!!! For now I've pulled the fuse but why is this happening? What's causing this problem?

Both doors should have a switch in the fender wall that activate when the doors are opened, to turn on the lights. sounds like one of those has gone bad. Also, sometimes they're covered up with a waterproof rubber boot, so you may not even know a switch is there.

Well this should be a easy one. Since you only opened the drivers door it should be the drivers door switch. Remove the kick panel by your foot and disconnect the wire. The switch gets a ground from the body to activate
