Did you know that Judge Roy Moore, Alabama , was removed from the bench ?

for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall?

Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his Judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama ! This is what he wrote :

America the beautiful,

or so you used to be.

Land of the Pilgrims' pride;

I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,

Abortion on demand,

Oh, sweet land of liberty;

your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly

poisoned by cocaine

choosing to indulge their lusts,

when God has said abstain

From sea to shining sea,

our Nation turns away

From the teaching of God's love

and a need to always pray

   We've kept God in our temples,     how callous we have grown.

When earth is but His footstool,

and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government

that's rotting at the core,

Appointing Godless Judges;

who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer

in a well deserved tomb,

But brave enough to kill a baby

before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not

angry, that our land's a moral slum?

How much longer will He wait

before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,

from Whom we cannot hide?

What then is left for us to do,

but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,

will humbly turn and pray;

Seek His holy face

and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven;

and forgive us of our sins,

He'll heal our sickly land

and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,

If you don't - then you will see,

A sad but Holy God

withdraw His hand from Thee.

~~Judge Roy Moore~~

i think it applies to our world, as well.

Update 2:
Update 3:

Edit: For those who argue that those of other Faiths will be offended, why would anyone be offended by 10 simple guidelines to good living?

1. Have no other Gods.

2. Have no idols.

3. Honor God's name.

4. Honor the Sabbath day.

5. Honor your parents.

6. Do not murder.

7. Do not commit adultery.

8. Do not steal.

9. Do not perjure yourself.

10. Do not covet.

Btw, non-Christians could apply the 1st Commandment to their own God/ Higher Power / inner voice..

    I live in Alabama and Roy Moore is a religious fanatic. He was given the option of moving the homemade Ten Commandments plaque from the courtroom itself to an outer chamber, and he refused. This refusal to obey the ruling of a State court is why he was removed from the bench. He was trying to inflict his religious beliefs on everyone. He was blatantly disregarding the seperation of church and State laws set forth by the Constitution. He wanted to be a zealot and make the matter into more than it ever needed to be. His personal beliefs have no place in the courtroom. He should be guided by the law when he was ruling on cases and then he could be guided by his religion in his personal life. Not everyone (even in the Deep South) is a Christian and posting the Ten Commandments could have been offensive to some.

    There is no place in law for religious fundamentalism.When he sits in judgement he should do so with his countries laws in mind not the laws and judgements he holds as a religious person.If he can't separate the two he can't sit in judgement.

    As for breaking the rules by displaying the plaque doesn't that send out the message that it's ok to break rules.Hardly a message a judge,of all people, should be putting out.

    The way I see it is that if you're going to display the basic rules of law for one religion you must display the basic rules of law for all other religions....which would take up more than just a small space on a wall.

    So it's either all or none. You can't just pick and choose which religion to give representation to when you have a country based on freedom of religion.

    He strikes me as a dangerous judge, he's there to implement the law, not his own opinions and agenda. As someone trained in US law I would have thought he should realise that. A religious judge in Alabama doesn't bode well with me I'm afraid, he sounds too much like the old slavers did, it's just the type of thing I'd expect from them, I instinctively mistrust his motives.

    this is a rustic of blind justice and the guidelines of which do no longer come completely from the bible. it is likewise no longer a christian united states and handy over administration of it to every physique portion of this is voters is not any diverse then making it unlawful to be any faith different then muslim like interior the middle east. and could make you and your faith greater of a gaggle of illiberal hypocrites

  • What is he, a judge, a preacher or a politician ?

    He is entitled to his opinion & his bosses are entitled to take the appropriate action against him too.

    Being a judge, doesn't make him untouchable, he should judge people in the courtroom & no where else.

    I feel so sorry for this poor deluded man..

    To blame all his countries woes on people who don't believe in his mythical god ..

    Instead of whinging about the so called lack of faith that has brought his country to a place that only god can help , Maybe he should be out helping the poor as opposed to just locking them up.....
