does anyone agree with me that Condaleeza Rice would have made a good presidential candidate?

I wonder if she was asked?

Yes ... unfortunately she will be forever associated with the worst president in American history and his buddies like Cheney and Wolfiwitz etc. She tried very hard with what she was given and I feel she has helped America retain a smidgen of credibility on the world stage because she comes across as intelligent and not a complete loony. She should have, however, taken note of Colin Powell who withdrew gracefully from public office before the s***t really hit the fan.

She would have made a great politician. Her testimony before the 9/11 commission was vintage political spin. But she isn't a likable person, so she would not have been a good candidate. That's why she wasn't asked.

Actually I think she'd been a great VP nominee, but the Democrats \ Media made that impossible by making the race about Bush3 more then then issues.

yes. she would've made a good president. she is pretty much the smartest person in the world (when it comes to society, obviously not when it comes to IQ) - otherwise she wouldn't be secretary of state...probably the top job in the world(hell she could go to russia and tell them off and cause world war 3)

Yes! She said that she wanted to become a private citizen, since she had not been able to do that for some time

Nope. She is part of the corrupt Bush regime. She needs to be out just like Bush.

Actually I am disappointed in her. I thought she would be better in her recent assignment but I think she flopped. I wanted her on the ticket a couple of years ago and I think she has blown her reputation.

Yes, I agree. She was asked, but she does want to retire.

She said she is retiring from politics after her term is up.

I think she would have been a good VP nomination, but I think she told them she wasn't interested.
