Why do 90% of Blacks vote Democrat?
Republicans have been better for equal rights than Democrats have.
1. Lincoln was Republican.
2. The Republican controlled congress of the 60's voted in the Civil Rights Act.
3. The Democrat Party is traditionally the party of the KKK.
I don't get it. Feel free to add to the list.
Republicans controlled both houses of congress in 1964.
GW Bush had the highest ranking and the largest number of Blacks in his cabinet in history. Compare it to Clinton.
I feel the Republican record on the matter speaks for itself.

Because they've been conned into believing that the Democrats are looking out for them. They could not be more wrong.Just ask Robert "KKK" Byrd,Democrat Senator from W.Virginia who Filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act.Or Democrat George Wallace, who ran as a Segregationist.
The only minorities the Democrats are interested in are those who toe the Democrat Party line,Vote for who they're told to Vote for,and don't try to advance in life.Even Obama is simply a tool of the Democrats, nothing more.He doesn't come close to having the experience to be ready to be President. But they know he will make a good puppet.

Here's the reason. When Blacks were first freed from slavery, they all voted for the party of Lincoln (Republican). It was because they felt that the party was for their rights and would always watch over them. So the Blacks voted Republican for the next 80 years or so. Than The Great Depression happened. And who was hit hardest? They were. However, President Hoover did little to nothing to help them so they gradually lost faith in the Republican Party. Than FDR came with his appeal to the poor man which gained the support of all The African Americans. Pretty much, they felt betrayed by the Republican Party and found themselves better represented by the Democrats. Than the 60s happened. JFK sealed the deal between the Democrats and Blacks with his efforts to create equality between all races. Since than, African Americans have felt a bond with the Dem. Party and felt out of place with the GOP. The Democratic Party represents not only whites, but people of all colors while the GOP simply does not.

The Republican Party supported the abolition of slavery under Abraham Lincoln, and from the Civil War until the Great Depression of the 1930s, blacks voted for Republican candidates by an overwhelming margin; in the Southern states, they were often not allowed to vote, but received Federal patronage appointments from the Republicans. The majority of black Americans switched to the Democratic Party in the 1930s when the New Deal offered them governmental support for civil rights. In the South, blacks were able to vote in large numbers after 1965, when a bipartisan coalition passed the Voting Rights Act, and ever since have formed a significant portion (ranging from 20% to 50% depending on the state) of the Democratic vote in that region.
Now you know the REST of the story....

Because they don't realize what a racist party it is... I didn't know until I started reading articles from Frances Rice.... They seem to be against everything that could help the Blacks out....
The Republicans had to establish the NAACP to counter what the racist agenda the Democrats support... :/
Honest question.... What have the Democrats EVER done FOR the Black community?... even recently?
From the NBRA website:
Little known by many today is the fact that it was Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois, not Democrat President Lyndon Johnson, who pushed through the civil rights laws of the 1960’s. In fact, Dirksen was key to the passage of civil rights legislation in 1957, 1960, 1964, 1965 and 1968. Dirksen wrote the language for the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Dirksen also crafted the language for the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which prohibited discrimination in housing.
....
Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a civil rights advocate. In reality, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Senator Al Gore, Sr. After he became president, John F. Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.

The civil rights act was passed in 1964. It was the brain child and baby John F. Kennedy and it was signed into law by Lyndon B. Johnson a democrat. The democrats came out to stand with Black Americans. Republicans like John McCain voted against naming Martin Luther King day a holiday, not once but 3 times.
Your facts are wrong.

Once the Democratic Party started supporting Civil Rights, it's most racist members (like Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms) left the party and became Republicans.

The answer can be summed up in two words: Richard Nixon. His Southern Strategy caused many Southern Democrats to leave the party, and pushed many black people towards the Democrats. It worked out well for Nixon, but not so well for the country in the long run.

well in the days off Lincoln republicans were liberal and republicans were democrats were conservative and quite racist actually but by todays standards Lincoln would definitely be a democrat and the racists of today are mainly republican and conservative

"Foreign minister" is totally right. Since the corruption status quote ofGoldwater and Nixon, the Republican party has been transformed from the "party of lincoln and the civil rights" to the " Rascist, corrupt, fear mongering party"
