  • I'm looking for a new NFL team to support: Who should it be?

I am not a fair weather fan. I've supported my team since I was 8, through 2-14 seasons, and 4 straight losses in the Super Bowl. I cheered when Flutie led them to the playoffs in 1999, and continued to support them even though Flutie was benched for Rob Johnson when the playoffs started, leading to a loss. I've supported all this decade, despite 1 winning record and not even a sniff of the playoffs. But to move a rivalry game out of the country, and allow a December game against Miami to be played indoors...well, that's it. Stay in fu**ing Toronto, I'm looking for a new team.

  • Obama Supporters: Are you ever...?

... tempted to sink to the level of the other side? After seeing all the questions about the fraudulant Maureen Dowd (or Doud)column "exposing" Obama's fundraising, I was half tempted to counter it with some absurd story about someone "exposing" McCain's brainwashing in Vietnam and how he would be controlled from Hanoi (from Robert Novick). Then I came to my senses, and realized I support Obama in part because he rejects that kind of sleazy politics. But am I the only one who occasionally finds it hard to take the high road against opponents in the gutter?

  • Would Roy Williams be better at Linebacker than Safety?

I know he would be a bit on the small side as a Linebacker, but given his strengths and weaknesses as a player I really think that would be a better position for him. He has always been more effective the closer he is to the line of scrimmage, and while his coverage skills are a liability as a safety they would be an asset as a linebacker covering slower players. Watching him struggle the past few years, I wonder why the Cowboys haven't tried this.

  • Hillary's experience?

If Bill Clinton were a Brain Surgeon, would you want Hillary to remove your child's tumor because of all her experience?

  • Irish Language?

Why do people always call Irish "Gaelic?" Wouldn't that be like calling English "West Germanic?"

  • Irish famine?

Given the huge amount of food Britain imported from Ireland during the famine, why isn't it always referred to as a man-made famine the way the famine in the Ukraine in the 1930's is?

  • Is Romney just staying in the race to keep Huckabee from getting the Nomination?

People have been assuming it was the other way around, but after tonight, it looks like Romney is the spoiler.

  • 2 Questions for all you celebrating OU haters:?

Can you at least admit OU showed a lot of character to come as close as they did to coming back behind their Backup QB? And how happy were you with the blown call on OU's TD that should have cut the lead to 7 with about 5 minutes left

  • Mike Leach and the Officiating in the Texas Game?

I didn't see it, but what was he so upset about? Was a Tech player tackled at the two and not given a touchdown?

  • Do you know who sang this song?

Most of what passes for Rock these days is really lame (Nickelback? Finger Eleven? They're awful!) but last night I was flipping through stations and I heard a sing I really liked. It sounded like early Led Zepellin, with some Black Sabbath influence as well (mostly from the bass.)

I couldn't understand a lot of the words, but every verse started out with "Woman, Woman..." and the last line of the chorus was "She's gonna set you free, yeah!"

  • Is it true that USC fans can't handle the truth?

Now that they have been caught by the NCAA, is seems likely that the USC football program will be given the Death Penalty for due to the huge amounts of money involved, the ongoing nature of the Violations, and the fact that USC did everything possible to hinder the investigation. And yet when I mention this in an answer about USC's future coaching plans, the person who asked the question blocked me. Are USC fans in denial, or do they think USC boosters can pay the NCAA enough to avoid being justly punished for their actions?

  • Now that the game everyone has been waiting for is here, who will win it?

Buffalo or Miami? Also, if there is another game this week you think is big, but is getting lost in all the hype over the Bills/Dolphins game, feel free to mention it.

  • Can Iowa Make a bowl game?

They need to win 3 of 4 remaining games. They host Michigan State this week, then travel to Northwestern before closing out the season with home games against Minnesota and Western Michigan. They have a defense that has held 4 of 8 opponents out of the end zone, but an offense ranked with Notre Dame at the bottom of the NCAA.

  • Why is Dick Jauron still the coach of the Bills?

Despite all their injuries, the team plays a great game against a team they should have been blown out by. They deserved the win, but because the coaching staff couldn't manage the clock and then put them in a prevent defense the last two drives, all that effort is squandered and they lose. The fans, and especially the players, deserve better.

  • Dick Jauron, how exactly does he have a head coaching job?

I can't think of a single other coach who could have lost the game tonight. I mean, Norv Turner could have been coaching the Bills and they would have won. Please, fire him now and have Marty Schottenheimer on the next plane to Buffalo.
