What are some pieces I could audition with for a musical?
I haven't done theatre in a few years, and so I've decided to audition for my university's Opera Workshop production of "Oklahoma!", which will run next semester. I need ideas for a song to perform for the audition, which is about a week and a half from now. It should be from a musical, preferably one from before 1965, and it should be for a medium to high Soprano (I can handle lower things, such as "So In Love", but I'm technically a soprano).

I think it should fit your voice and since you're a soprano, there are many songs from Phantom of the Opera because Christine was a soprano. To me, I think "Think of Me" is wonderful for a soprano. Good Luck tho!

WOW.. the only music i am going to imagine of of from Jacques Brel is MADELINE and that is sung by technique of skill of a guy. i can't be in a position to imagine of of even ONE music for a lady in that coach... How about something from Jekyll and Hyde... a sparkling life or keep on the guy adult adult males or as right away as UPON A DREAM listed correct listed here are yet another strong audition songs for a Soprano..: a staggering guy.. I auditioned with a song called "Alto's Lament". Despite the name it is more for people with your kind of range. It is hard to find the sheet music for it, but it is funny, makes the audition atmosphere light, and they will be impressed. Unfortunately it is very new, but almost perfect to show off your described range. Worked for me, hope it helps you. :b
