I've never been a big fan of +/-. You could trip and fall flat on your face in a pile of Zamboni shavings during a shift, and if one of your teammates scores, you get a positive stat.

I was reading NHL stats and I saw a section in between GAA and +/- that was called PSPP. I didn't know what it meant so I looked it up...Pimp Slaps on the Power Play...Zetterberg was leading the league.

On hockey-reference.com I would say the weirdest stat is goals created, because the explanation of it is pretty complicated

+/-, not because of what it records, but because you could step onto the ice .01 seconds before your team scores and get a plus. Also, I think that a SHG should count for +2
