Does anyone know of another popular David and Goliath type story?
Can anyone help me with another very well known story that involves an underdog going against a powerful, semi-evil, person/entity?
Thank you for your help!
2 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoDo you know fo any literary, pop culture, or mythological characters who lose everything?
I am looking for a pretty specific type of losing everything.
I want someone who has lost everything through no fault of their own. One who becomes a pitiful character, that wrenches sympathy even out of the coldest people among us.
I am noot looknig for characters such as Hamlet who led to their own downfall. Characters with redemptions are also not what I am looking for, but a few of them would still be helpful.
Thank you for your help!
5 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhat geographic feature do the 5 largest U.S. West Coast cities have in common?
Although fault lines are correct, they are not the answer I am looking for.
Hint: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose and San Diego all are adjacent to at least one.
Here's a big hint: Elliott, Portage, San Francisco, Santa Monica, San Pedro, San Diego
This is try #5 and so far no one has gotten it right.

6 AnswersGeography1 decade agoSchool Choice Priority?
I am applying to three schools in the same area and have been accepted to all three. There is one really good school, a school with a weaker overall program, but with a good concentration, and a mild scholarship, and finally a third school that is the worst, but is offering a near full ride.
In short, which would you find more important?
The school's overall prestige
Small scholarship and a good sub-program
A near full scholarship

6 AnswersHockey1 decade agoBest way to frame a jersey
I was lucky enough to get a signed Jeff O'Neill Maple Leafs jersey with an 8x10 signed picture. I was wondering the best way to frame it. Does anybody have any layout that would look great?
It has a signature on the front and the back, but the front signature looks a lot nicer and it easier to see.

Are you proud of your teams effort in this series?
I am, and I'm not a Flames fan. They played well with the kind of fire only a few teams are able to muster. There series could hav gone any way, not because of the Sharks, but because your guys worked so hard. I thank you for the exciting series and the great sportsmanship by most of your fans.
I would be no less than proud to have my team show the effort your guys did. Thank you.
