Black person supporting McCain ?
I am black and I think McCain should win the US election. A lot of people seem to think that is strange and seem to think that all black people should support Obama. If I agree with McCain's policies, why would people think my position is strange?
By the way, I am really black for those who doubt!!!!!

I don't. I know plenty of Black people who belong to the National Black Republicans and they also support McCain because he is closer to being a conservative than Obama.
I understand that all people who hold their values dear will not be voting for Obama, and it has nothing to do with color. It is all because of his socialistic policies, his ideas of raising taxes, his stance on foreign policy, and his government health plan.
I agree with you 100% on voting for McCain. I will and hopefully the polls are wrong again!

I am an American, supporting the better American whom I think has the better answers for the present issues affecting America and the majority of Americans. By my avatar, I am black and I am. But then avatar's are like butt holes, everyone has one. They don't necessarily present who you really are and I'll bet you are not black. Maybe you should have found an avatar depicting a troll.
There are many republicans voting for McCain because they still consider him a republican, Palin also. They've yet to hear solid view from either about anything. There are a few voting for Mr Obama. At least seven percent of the republican party makeup is black. They are the well to do, they think, I say they are the affirmative action of the republican party, the tokens. They will not vote for Mr Obama because they have what they think the have. If in fact you are black, you have made your choice, be happy with being that seven percent, that minority, that token, still. Or, be happy with being a troll. Either way!

well, people like to put other people in boxes. i was a clinton supporter, and people were confused. but actually, when mccain won the primaries, and it was clinton, obama, mccain, i thought, great. if any of these three candidates won, i'd be perfectly fine and happy. but then mccain changed. and then they chose palin as his running mate. but anyway, don't worry about what little boxes people try to put you in. but i understand. a lot of people don't get that i'm supporting obama because i'm cool with his policies. it's not cause he's black.

Because if you don't support another Black,
you're called a racist by Democrats. If you
vote for a conservative Black person, then
that's bad because all Black conservatives are
Uncle Tom's to them (of course their opinions
are never racist, ha). I think we all have the
right to support whomever we want to without
being called names. That is the real American
way, but liberals keep wanting to change
everything (and they will if Obama gets to be
president and he, Reid, and Pelosi make all
the liberal decisions.) Watch Out.

Nothing wrong with that. Lots of old white men support Obama. This election should be about policies and not about "whether he is one of us" or patriotic enough, etc.

Race has no bearing on it. If you agree with his positions on the issues, then you can vote for him. Don't feel that you have to vote for Obama just because he's black.

If a white person is voting for McCain simply because he is white is racism, than a black person voting for Obama just because he is black is also racism.

McCain will spend all our tax dollars rebuilding Iraq, a country that has a surplus, while freezing spending in the United States. We can't afford McCain in an economic crisis like this.
Source(s): American money should be spent in America. Not Iraq. - just some chickLv 61 decade ago
It's not strange because you are black. It's strange because you are supporting McCain. That's like saying "the same thing hasn't been working for 8 years, lets try it again." Black, white, whatever.. that's just stupid.

If you make less than a half a million dollars a year, and enjoy your employer based health insurance, voting for McCain is voting against your best economic interest regardless of what your skin color or his skin color is.
Not only will McCain's policies bring us higher deficit and lower dollar value, but also lower purchasing power for the money you make.
He will also cost you far more for your health insurance when he taxes it and employers discontinue it.
Oh but he'l give you $5000 a year to buy a $6000-9000 policy.
We'll have to start going to the vet for health care.
