house breaking for puppies?
i've always wondered why people expect a puppy to be house broke in a couple of days and the kids are running around in diapers for three to four years?

because some people believe that a dog should just "know" what to do!
You'd be surprised how many times people ask which breed is like a cat and knows where to potty.

I dont expect that...I know it takes a puppy awhile to learn, and my son was out of diapers before he was 2...I know what you are saying though...I know people like that.*

Remember dogs age lots faster than people, but they still need time for their bodies to mature to hold it for long periods. Many puppies can be trained in as little as 1-2 weeks. Depends a lot on the breed and the trainer!

I wonder this ALL the time!
They expect dogs to go outside to be an "instinct" but actually going to the bathroom where ever is there instinct.
