Last night positive, tonight negative? How does that work?
OK, quick background: I'm 22, engaged, employed, and living with my fiance...
Last night, after about a week of thinking I was pregnant, and to be honest being sh*t-scared about it, I took a pregnancy test. It was that digital Clearblue one (if that matters) and it said a very definite "Pregnant" - so I spent all of today thinking about it and planning to go to the doctor this weekend. However, I still had one test left in the box, and I wanted to see that "Pregnant" again (it disappears about an hour after testing)
...It said "Not pregnant"...
So, my question is this: Am I bloody pregnant or not? :p
If I am, I don't know what I'm going to do. I spent all day being sooo happy, even though I know my parents will kill me (dad thinks I should be married first, even though I'm older than Mum was when I came along and his own parents weren't married when they started procreating)
If I'm not, i think I'll be devastated. I didn't realise just how much I want to have a baby.
My dad is the main obstacle. He over-reacts and sometimes can take a while to come around to big things. And this is going to be huge in his mind.

I had the same thing happen to me when I found out I was pregnant. I almost guarantee you are pregnant because false positives are nearly impossible, but false negatives are very common. Try First Response, which is more sensitive to HCG then the Clearblue digital tests, or go to the doc to confirm your pregnancy through blood test. Good luck and congrats!

My gyno told me this when I called with a similar situation! "If it says NEGATIVE it could be POSITIVE. If it say POSITIVE then your having a baby! Pregnancy tests pick up a hormone only in your body when you are pregnant. I would not worry about an early miscarriage. You should first worry about getting an appointment to confirm your pregnancy and get your due date. Planned Parenthoods can set you up with information about what you need to do. My mom was not very happy at first. I have never seen anything break the tough ones down like a grand baby. Your going to be fine. Say a little prayer and sit down like an adult and tell them. Remember they only want the best for you. That is why they get so upset. They have been in your shoes and know the mistakes we make and know how hard it can make things for us. Best of luck sweetie!

I would buy another one and see what it says. Either way, I would call your doctor so they can do a blood test. The blood test will tell if you are or not. Their might not have been enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine tonight for it to detect the pregnancy. Good luck and I hope it works out the way you want it :)

With store-bought pregnancy tests, you are more likely to get a false-negative than a false-positive, so chances are, you are pregnant! But definantly take a few more tests or visit the doctor to confirm. Good luck!!

you either had a chemical pregnancy or the second test is wrong. a chemical pregnancy is when the sperm and egg meet and start to produce hcg but don't implant into the uterus. the other thing is you may have taken the second test with very diluted urine. I would try again using urine first thing in the morning. either way make an md appointment.

What, I am confused? Did you take two test or only one. I used the digital as well and got a false negative 2 times. I think it better to dip the digital test then it is to pee on the stick.
Just take another test and dip the stick!

I'd go with YES you are it is rare for a false positive the 2nd test could have been faulty make and app. w/ your OBGYN for a test to be done
and BTW don't listen to that stupid a s s ----mommy of 5 she doesn't no what she is talking about with haven't a child out of wed lock your child WILL NOT be a sin I really wish some of these religious freaks would mind there own GOD DAM BUSINESS!

The clearblue digital tests show for 24 hours these are where I got my positives.
And maybe the baby didn't latch onto your uterus meaning you are NOT pregnant.
Although if you are still concerned than buy another test maybe a different brand and test again.
Good luck =]

Digital tests can be a little unreliable. I have heard alot of people that get negatives on them...then take a traditional one and get a positive.
So, go out and get one of those old school ones. Test first thing in the morning. I suspect you'll get a positive.
Good luck
