Need some help! TTC soon...?
My husband and I can't TTC until April 2009, but I'm so impatient! It seems sooooo far away! Can anyone give my advice for patience or what I can do to alleviate my baby cravings?
Also, when should I stop taking my bcp before we tcc?
Added details--my husband wants to time the birth, thats why we have to wait. I'm dying!!!
Thank you everyone for your helpful answers!

Yeah. I know how you feel - the hurry up and wait. I felt the same way with my husband before we started. Before we started I learned my cycles. So when I started I didn't have to learn that. I tracked about 5 cycles and began to learn my fertile time (and used that as birth control - it did work). I did BBT and did ovulation prediction kits (OPKs).
Here is a great website for TTC and BBT:

Anyway, we did start to TTC and it took me one cycle. I don't think it would have worked that way if I wasn't aware of my fertile times in advance. It may give you a little bit to do and you may feel like you are actually working towards something.

Just to let you know trying to time it doesn't always work. It may take you awhile to get pregnant or you could get pregnant soon after you start. if there are no problems with you or him. As far as being impatient I guess just get some books and start reading up.
What to expect when your expecting and other baby books. That is a good bit of time to have to be patient. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you guys..

Don't think too much about it and engage yourself in preparing to be healthy mom, I mean eat healthy, read books about precautions to be taken while pregnancy, stuff like that. You will find them interesting as your situation for baby craving and on top of that, these all would be super helpful. Good luck and I hope you will give us good news soon.
Just chill !!!

You should stop taking the pill now and let your husband know it doesn't always happen when you want it to we have been trying to conceive for 3 months now
good luck
