What do you think of 'Bayou Dawn, This Morning' poem?

well, missy E,,, this bit of verse has catapulted me from funk into smiles,,, the images are crystal clear and finer than diamonds.

A scene similar to many I have seen over the years, and it always lifts me up. One exception was a river in Vietnam at dawn, calm, mirrored reflections in totally ripple-less water. Then a North Vietnamese gunboat passed, and there was the sound of heavy weapons mixed with light, a large explosion, and instead of diamonds, the water's surface was as rubies. Yours is much more desirable.

Except for the trees, I see this scene and those diamonds every morning as I watch sunrise over the Bay. I am always in awe. It is most beautiful when the sailboats pass.

I was 'meandering' in Key West paths for a while until the last stanza..Its was painful 'shift', like been lifted by Chicago Sears-building elevator, to Grand Canyon. Tell Snidely that Mama hen is not leaving..She is just playing a role in the life cycle for a change, so he can sing every morning, in tribute to his past accomplishments. Ely, I liked this verse, a lot. Thanks!
