THE SUN MOON AND STARS
The fog descended with the rising sun,
After he had hidden away the crazy moon.
Later he also bedded all the stars
Thunder rumbling were the noisy snoring stars.
I have won said the boiling toiling sun.
The day grew weak, then woke the crazy moon.
It is my time, now make way for the moon.
Come out now friends, he called out to the stars.
It’s my time now, so be off you bossy sun.

THE FLY IN THE WARDROBE
Travelled to London in some foul smelling hay,
It was an adventure that bright sunny day
Put on the roses with horse manure compost.
At Buckingham palace it was a real impost.
The sun pored down and I needed a drink,
So I went through a window to the kitchen sink.
I found on a plate a nice tasting bun,
And hid underneath thinking it might be fun.
It travelled upstairs next to some tea,
A trip to Her Majesty and all of it free.
Now this is so comfy and this bun is sweet,
I was not expecting a walk on this beat.
The door of her wardrobe was open a bit,
So guess where a fly like me found to sit?
Now I am here, I don’t know what to do,
I’ve eaten so much and now I must shoo.
Now don’t be mistaken and don’t be misled,
It’s the bloomin fly spray that’s gone to my head.
9 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoWhy did Jesus say "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me?"?
' and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all- he is the greatest?" Luke 9;48
How should we welcome children in Jesus' name?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy did Jesus say;-" In my Father's house are many mansions"? John ? 14;2?
Keep in mind what Jesus usually referred to in other parts of the New Testament. His Father's house had become a den of thieves John 2;16. He was found at 12 years of age in his Father's house Luke 2 ; 49. Where is the Father's house today and where are these mansions?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho do you want to please, God or the world?
Jesus was the best man who ever lived yet the world hated him. Did he please God before the world?
Mark 3;5 Says he looked about in anger so we know his feelings directed his choices but he did no sin.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians- Do you love your enemies? Do you do good to those who hate you?
If this could be done on a global scale how could it be done?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhich of the commandments of Christ do you find the most difficult to perform or obey?
It was pointed out to me that the sermon on the mount was similar to the sermon on the plain. The first begins in Matthew 5 and the second begins in Luke 6 from verse 17. Both talks end with the man who builds his house on the rock while the other builds on sand.
Do you find it easy to turn the other cheek? Do you bless those who curse you?
Without the foundation of obedience to commands like this, our whole Christian edifice will fall. If our heart is not right our behaviour will be unlike Christ's.
Maybe there are other thoughts from those chapter that challenge you more.
Your thoughts please would be very welcome.

MY NANNA
As children we would sit at the end of her bed
She was sick but to us lovely stories she read.
Some times we would bounce but mother would scold
Remember your Nanna is very, very old.
We loved our Nanna, she was special to us,
We’d come to her room from the school bus.
Some poems we would recite after her.
She really loved us just as we were.
Nanna was always sitting up in bed,
We loved to listen to all that she said.
One night it was raining and lightning flashed out.
She would calm our worries and that without doubt.
This one was sheet lightning and that one was fork
But we did not believe what she said of the stork.
One day Nanna was very, very sick
And the doctor was called to be quick.
He brought with him many strange pills,
Nanna would swallow making faces for thrills.
She made us laugh and we loved her so,
But underneath we knew one day she would go.
It was a very sad time for us all
When Nanna made her last curtain call.

WORDS UNSPOKEN
The words I did not say,
The songs I did not sing,
The prayers I did not pray,
The thoughts that did not wing.
I speak now you have gone,
I sing to soothe my breaking heart.
I pray that I may be forgiven.
I think I may have played my part.
Regrets will come regardless of words
We have said, sung, or thought.
Life has many discordant chords.
Not one extra day can be bought.
Communication now has passed,
But memories will still remain.
No albatross tied to the mast,
Will help us endure the pain.
The age we live in is unique.
Until our very last breath,
Truth and peace each day we seek,
But we have no say in our death

Love Song.
HE TO SHE
My dear one,
In your garden
I breathed
Sweet fragrance.
Fruit and honey
Make a feast
Of delight.
Let me drink deep
The wine
Of your love
Raise your voice and sing to life and love
SHE to HE
Wake up my strong one,
Who defends my honour.
Come to my garden
of delight.
Let your fragrance mingle
With nectar and honey.
Feast on the precious
Fruit of love.
Raise your voice and sing to life and love

WITH LOVE
Full mouth kisses
Flood my heart with
Mind blown blisses.
Your arms enfold
My heart melts with
Heat to refine gold.
I see love in your eyes,
Deep heaven’s promise with
Hope and divine surprise.
Your touch enflamed
Passionate responses with
Desire untamed.
8 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoDid Jesus create the earth? Does the following quote prove this?
"He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers,or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossians 1;15-18
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow does the record of Christ's conception and birth allow for the idea that he physically existed beforehand?
Mary was a normal woman and a descendant of King David who was betrothed to a normal man but the child she conceived was by the action of God's power through the holy spirit. Luke 1;35. Matthew1;20 An angel appeared to her betrothed husband telling him to not fear taking Mary for a wife because the child she had conceived was of the Holy Ghost (Holy spirit or power through which God operates) Jesus was to be God's only begotten son. A begotten person can not live before they have been begotten.
