    Cross-multiply and then divide both sides by 68.

    68(r)=12(4)

    68r/68=48/68

    r=12/17

    68/12=4/r

    68/12(r)=4 ; time r on both side

    r=4(68/12) ; divide 68/12 to get r itself

    r=48/68

    or reduced r=12/17

    r= 12/17

    Cross multiply

    68 * r = 12 * 4

    68r = 48

    r = 48/68

    r = 12/17

    a first step would be to simplify 68/12 which is "5 and 2/3" or "17/3"

    Then, multiply both sides by r

    17/3r = 4

    Multiply both sides by 3/17

    r=12/17

    Hope i helped!

    you would cross multiply.

    48 = 68r

    then you would divide each side by 68

    48/68 = r

    then simplify

    12/17 = r

  • Cross multiply you get:

    68r=12*4

    68r=36

    You should get about~2
