Can I get back into the country on my current visa and passport?

I am planning on visiting Canada in December to visit family for Christmas. I am a Canadian citizen working in South Korea. When I return to South Korea there will be less than 6 months on my passport (only by a few days) and my boss is worried that I will not be able to come back into the country. I will still have a valid work visa for South Korea, but my passport will expire at the end of May. They are worried because many countries do not allow foreigners to enter with less than 6 months remaining on their passport. Should I try and get a new passport before travelling or will it be OK?

your best bet is to contact your embassy or consulate citizen services and ask them. it's also possible that you can find the information on your embassy's website for South Korea.
