Is this a hoax Retirement Fund?
My wife is from Colombia and a cousin of hers is trying to get us to invest in a Retirement Plan from Skandia(U.K.) that will take $1,800.00 U.S. per year for 7 years and return $800.00 U.S. per month after that 7 years for life. How is that possible? Too good to be true?

Yes, it is a scam.

Rule of thumb, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Any investment opportunity from the U.K. would send me running the other direction.
