Does it make sense to you that just as Christ was spiritual, so the antichrist will be materially based?

The anti Christ is a symbol of any human who worships hopelessness as the basis for their value system.

There is no need for an actual monster if people worship impious values.

The Bible states that the Antichrist is already here, the spirit [person] who does not acknowledge Christ as Lord is the antichrist.

"But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here." 1john 4:3

So who are you waiting for?

The antichrist are all who are against Christ. The antichrist is alive and thriving.

One indication of Antichrist will be his ability to unite ... at least initially. I imagine there could be a lot of self love in that teaching.

Nothing about the Christ Jesus makes sense out of the context of mythology and folklore.
