Scoring on the ASVAB to become a CID in the army?

I understand that what you score on the ASVAB determines what jobs you qualify for in the army.

Does anyone know what you have to score on the ASVAB to qualify for a Criminal Investigation Agent?

& Do you know what subject you have to score it in?

Or even what th questions are like & where I can find them on the internet?

If you would like to go CID, you should first enlist as a Military Police Officer and after a few years of experience you may be able to request CID or MPI. You need to score high enough on the GT portion at least a 110.

The first person who posted is clueless and shouldnt give advice on things they know nothing about.

CID is not an entry level MOS. There are civilian agents but they mainly do fraud investigations. Any MOS can apply for CID after two years in the army, however my advice to you is if you are really interested pick a job that still requires a top secret security clearence becuase that is the one major thing that always slows down a CID application.

You can't go stright into CID. My husband was CID for a couple years and for those who said it was pretty much civilians aren't exactly correct. In my husband's CID unit there weren't any Civilians! I would suggest becoming an MP first and try to get into MPI. Get a feel for the Law enforcment side of it to see if that is really what you want to do. After you get a few years under your belt, put in a warrant officer packet for CID to see if you get in.

My husband was MPI but worked for CID and he headed up the drug team. So you don't necessarily have to be SA to do CID work!

You cannot enlist for CID. This field is only available to soldiers who have at least a couple of years of service under their belts.

CID is mostly civilian run and any uniformed personnel are higher ranking, it is not an option when first coming in.
