Wart Freezing results....?

I went to the dermotologist the other day, and he freezed a wart i had on my finger. It hurt while he was doing it and for a couple hours after.. but that's normal.

So my question is, right now there's like a huge blister around my wart. Is this what's suppose to happen? When the blister goes away does it just like take the wart with it?

thank you!

My son had a couple of warts frozen off and there was a blister involved. I'm pretty sure the wart went away with the blister.

If that doesn't work, cover it with duct tape.

Yes, it's normal to develop a blister in reponse to wart-freezing therapy. Resist the impulse to pop it. Keep the area clean, dry and protected, especially if the blister does pop. Hopefully, this will take care of the wart, but sometimes multiple treatments are necessary to kill the roots. I had a wart on my thumb that took multiple treatments to get rid of - what a pain in the a**! But I kept at it and it did eventually go away. Good luck!

Yes, my brother had warts on his hands like 20 years ago, and got them frozen.. from what I remember, they turned blueish or black and then eventually came off and never returned. I think it's normal, but ask your doctor if you're unsure or worried about it.

well that is normal because the freezing stuff can cause your skin to freeze too so i would just wait a couple of days to see if it clears up but if it doesnt go see the doc

Didn't he give you a paper with instructions and what to expect? If not, call them and ask. Most Dr's give patients instructions.
