Would the Republican party benefit by divorcing themselves from hate merchants such as Rush Limbough?

Hate, lie and sleaze merchants such as Limbough and Hannity have disseminated lies and untruths for quite awhile now. Now that the American people are no longer buying their tripe, should the Republican party divorce itself from them?

Finally, a sensible question. He is by no means the only one.

He's not a conservative, by the way, he is a pure reactionary, and he is both a liar and a propagandist. There is a small minority of people who fill "Rush Rooms" to hear this swine drone on with his slick DJ voice about his drug-induced delusions, and of course, it is NEVER a talk show when only the FAT SLOB speaks. Even if he did not have drug-induced deafness, of course, it wouldn't matter; he's never listened, anyway.

By the way, someone needs to do some reading and find a definition of "racism". Limbaugh and the others sell a racist

platform, much as their philosophical lunatic predecessor, Father Coughlin did, by using code words, like "other people"

and "certain minorities" which their slobber-mouthed

dittohead followers deny but IN FACT completely understand.

This was explained to me by one of Blimpbag's fascist

brethren, who erroneously presumed I was also a nincompoop red neck scum. That was in Mesa, Arizona, where fatso is still fairly popular among the "bluehairs" and local Nazis.

Most Republicans are deeply ashamed of this filthbag. A few cling on his every word, as if it came straight from God. Most of those are

borderline delusional, and the few I know are ALL over 80.

But YES, I used to be a registered Republican, and worked on behalf of the party. A lecture on "the chosen few" from a State Treasurer Republican changed all that in about 3 minutes.

Winning elections in America used to require some truth and fairness.

Limbaugh and the mechanisms of the RNC and the Murdoch-owned propaganda machinery, etc., etc. are NOT in that business. Eisenhower was the last elected national Republican who had genuine integrity, and said meaningful things. Goldwater was at least candid. But the hate mongering is a BURDEN for the right, and these McCarthyite types are its cancer. It's killing them.

We need at least one more party in America. I think it should be our first REAL left wing party. And maybe a GENUINE conservative party, not walking in lock step to an absurd

reactionary regimen like Rove and Atwater and these other

"annointed Holy few" think America wants and needs. I do not think the Republican Party can be fixed, as long as these delusional, depraved, vicious merchants of deceit are connected with that august conglomeration.

The media uses him and his entertainment shock factor to implement their goal of Liberal Fascism. Why don't they ever bring up the Far Left Talk show host and their radical views? Why are they portraying him as a leader in the Republican Party? They could easily do the same with Louis Farrakhan. I think the young people in this country have been brainwashed by the Left to accept more government and higher taxes for other people without any notion that their Freedom to achieve is being stripped away. Government power, whether by the Left or Right, is Fascism. The Democrats in Congress are all millionaires, yet they want the rest of us to live under their rules on how much we can achieve. Removing mortgage deductions for "the rich" does not help the housing market. It takes a serious amount of cash out of the hands of those who worked hard and were responsible and gives it to the government to decide where it should be spent.

Yes. The GOP used to be a great American institution. You didn't have to be a conservative to respect them and their values. I tend to be liberal, but I've always respected and valued what genuine conservatives have to say--even if I happened to disagree on a particular policy issue.

Todays Republican Party is little more than a collection of right wing extremists, racists, religious bigots, and corrupt leaders and politicians. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hamity, and the rest are perfect representatives of this garbage.

Real Republicans need to stand up to these trash and take thir once great party back. Tossing scum like LImbaugh would be a great place to start.

    Yes. Definitely.

If they could get rid of the nut cases who claim to be Republicans, they might stand a chance of winning.

Whack jobs like Limbaugh, Hannity, Elisabeth Hasselback, and Ann Coulter are keeping Conservatism from progressing.

They've been around for a long time and keep getting fat salaries for staying on board, so they must still be pretty popular. O'Really?, I mean O'Reilly just signed a huge contract to stay on Fox News. They are annoying, but ratings speak volumes, so they're still around.

Rush and company provide a degree of unity to many conservatives.

    Occasionally, their comments may back-fire.

But overall, I think the benefit to the republican party is positive.

The benefit to America in general, however, I feel is negative because of the increased lack of respect for other opinions.

No more than Barack Obama divorcing himself from Rev Wright and Bill Ayres....Atleast Limbough and Hannity are not bombers or racists.

  • Why do you think Limbaugh is a hatemonger, liar and sleaze merchant? Also, what makes you think Americans are "no longer buying his tripe?"

I've got no defense for Hannity- he IS a tool.

    Are you kidding?

The knee jerk liberal mainstream media has complete control now!

Thank the good lord for the likes of Rush.

I would vote for him if he would run for office, but would rather have had Condi and MG Powel as candidates

DON'T VOTE, .... IT ONLY ENCOURAGES THEM.

So, if you don't like the truth, label it as hate. If you don't agree with the facts, then label them as sleaze. That sounds like a great solution. Sometimes I wish I was a liberal too, so I wouldn't have to think about anything.
