Does anyone besides me worry that if Obama loses we'll have riots?

I am quite certain that in the unlikely event that he loses - no matter what explanations may be offered - there will be enough supporters who will be so "certain" that it was stolen that they will take to the streets. I don't suspect that there will be much violence, but ...

If you'll remember, the King riots stemmed from getting brutalized by cops on camera and those cops being almost completely exonerated. If Obama loses this race it will be because the American people spoke and they chose the other guy, not because the justice system in this country is in support of a corrupt system and rampant racism. The conditions of the two are not the same. There could always be riots, especially because so many of the supporters are young. But I think that something as big as LA will not happen. The majority of people voting for Obama are not a disfranchised population seeking justice in a system that works against them. We are everyday Americans who seem to be forming a majority.

You say we are not a racist country, yet in the very same sentence you assume that a person's race makes that person prone to riot.

There have been plenty of riots in this world orchestrated by white people. Many white people have rioted over things as trivial as a World Series victory. I don't see why you're singling out black people for this propensity.

No, I don't think there will be any riots. Someone's candidate of choice loses every 4 years. And whatever people may think of Obama, I seriously doubt he would encourage his supporters to riot. Think how bad that would look for him. I think he would stand up against anything like that.

That is like saying, do I think if McCain wins, "rednecks" will bring their guns and camoflauge and start shooting them into the air. Both are stereotypes, and you are playing into them. Please think about what you are doing by perpetuating such stereotypes, white or black, on the internet. Thank you.
