2005 Grand Am Air Filter Kit?

I want my Grand Am to sound mean! I need something that will make it sound like it has a lot more muscle. I do not know TONS about cars but I am in an Auto Mech class in HS right now, so please help out as much as you can. Would I have to get a new exhaust also to help it out?

Its a V6 3.4L

    Do you have the 4 or 6 cylinder? Start with an exhaust or a muffler with the resonator removed. I had a magnaflow muffler with the resonator removed on my 04Gt and it sounds great. Go to www.youtube.com and type in grand am exhaust. You will see all kinds of videos.
