Do you ALWAYS vote for your party no matter what, or who you think is better suited for the job as president?

If you're a republican do you ALWAYS vote republican (same goes for democrats) just because that is your party of choice or do you really think about the candidates and choose who you think is the better person?

I know almost everyone says that they really think about what each canidate has to offer and they vote for the one who they think can really help our country but I know thats not always true.

How do you vote? Are you voting for Mccain/Obama just because you are a republican/democrat or did you really sit down and think about WHY you are voting for who you are going to vote for.

I'm a Liberal Democrat, living near Los Angeles, and I have already mailed my ballot. I always vote for the Democratic candidate because that is the one who shares at least some of my political views. If I voted for a Republican, I couldn't expect him/her to follow the Democratic platform, and I'd be voting against my own opinions! That makes no sense at all. Usually, the candidates are good people, with the exception of the current administration, but their political beliefs are the important thing to me. That is what should determine everyone's vote.

Personally I vote for the person or idea I believe is best.

I never been a big fan of registering into a political party but I do understand why they do it. I just feel that not all republican feels the same way on everything and not all democrats do either.

But I do feel the the Bush administration has hurt the Republican party and the polls shows it.

Normally I vote a straight party ticket. I understand party politics and that the party, not the man/woman runs the country. This has been a soul wrenching year for many of us Democrats. We have had to go against our 'family' the party. You can not imagine what a difficult thing this is. I know some who don't want Obama, but can't bring themselves to the point of being a traitor for the good of their country. It brakes my heart, but I can not let the far left fanatics of my party take it over. They must be stopped. And to stop them, Obama must be defeated. The party and the nation will never be the same if we do not stop Obama now at the polls.

Ain't that a piece of truth.... I agree with all you said about Obama, for every lie he utters there's always someone in the BIG media to marginalize it. OBVIOUSLY we can't expect an absolute honest politician but HALO.. we have NO IDEA who this guy is, for all we know he has great sympathy feelings to our WORST enemies all over the world. He is a lier, he can't take a punch (even by a democrat), and he is totally UNELECTABLE! Ms. Bill Clinton is just a scripted arrogant lier as well, they both think Americans are stupid enough that they can feed us ANY story with FICTIONAL SPEECHES even when contradicting ACTUAL FACTS... what a shameful time to be a democrat liberal... Unfortunately all we have on the other side is John McCain who IS the lesser of 3 evils. He is too liberal in my view but at least we KNOW his character. Even though in my opinion he can't even be considered conservative after his immigration garbage bill and a few other things BUT at least he will keep us safe (hopefully)... Can't people see we are in times where this whole country is in DANGER?? Americans are starting to understand our enemies are taking advantage of our systems, migrating here and slowly building infrastructure for the next SUICIDE BOMBING near you... I'm from Israel and it ain't nothing nice TRUST ME. Right now you have your own Border Patrol agents in jail while Spanish speaking jihadist are crossing our borders with ease from South AND North... I just DON'T THINK Barak Hosein Obama will DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT! But maybe John will... and just for that it does make sense to vote for John McCain.

No I am A Republican, but I am on Medicare and Medicaid when them morons stated they wanted to strip them both I bailed. Thank God for the right to vote anyway I see fit.

You see it is the right thing to do to help those that are less fortunate than you so Taxing anything over 250,000 and helping out your fellow Man should be what your wanting to do anyway, and you cant tell me it hurts them a bit.

I still believe in a strong Military, but I don't believe in a stupid Military. Why one shot one kill, when you can have One shot end of country end of terrorism.... We do not need to be in Iraq, We can take care of that trash from here. Then if China or Russia say ANYTHING guess who's next.

We can still Win Vietnam and Korea too. I did not hear any fat lady sing so it ain't over yet.

Yes, I have always voted Democrat. But not this year. I will be voting for John McCain. I vote for the man, not the Party. I trust John McCain, and he loves America, as much as I do. Obama is a White America hater, and no one in their right mind, should be voting for him.

I will always vote for who I think is the best candidate. But it's tough to imagine a scenario where that would be the Republican.

I vote for the candidate that I believe will do the best job for our country, and will care about our as a whole, and put his feelings aside to the point profitting by our country like Bush did with the oil prices, (because he owns oil wells),and someone who is for the little person, keeping the coal coming out of WVa(considering we have an abundance of coal for one of natural resources, the working person, with less taxes, more health care for folks that can not afford it, for the senior citizens health care, for our veterns(hurt &hospitalized)so they are forgotten, this time I'm not sure who I'll vote for I'm not too enthusied with either, may I could voteJay Rockfeller(Gov. of Wva.)he passed a bill in Congress to clean up the coal mines, safety for the miners, to keep our coal producing, gave the West Virginians a chance at life, with health care for adults, kids, senior citizens,(of course now we can't vote for him because he not running for president, but if he were I'd vote for him.I don't think Obama cares, and McCain is out for the corporations(BIG BUCKS),Obama is against right to bear arms, and I believe our country?? If he wants to be the 1st black man to become president let him go to another country, and he stand for partial abortions(no human has the right to take life) except God!He made us, and its His right no one else's.

i look to see who is better suited for the job, and that has always been someone from my party. and of course, the fact that the things i believe in and want is what a democrat candidate believes in, so ..
