Where in the U.S. Constitution does it say that if a priests speaks against a candidate it loses Tax exemption?
Please give me the article in the US Constiution where it is specifically said that because a priest speaks out against Obama, that Church can lose it tax exempt status? Where did the IRS get this power from? I just can't see how the founding fathers would possibly tie the First Amendments and Bill of Rights Freedom of Speech to taxes. So who made this connection that we all seem to take for granted? Was it really what they intended?

It doesn't. That's an IRS law.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it specifically state a separation of church and state.

Tax exempt status was granted to churches so there would be no connection between church and state. Adhere or lose it.
James Madison, father of the Constitution, famously wrote, " Religion and government will both remain more pure, the less they are mixed together."

It's an interpretation of the Constitution by the courts.
I can fully believe that our largely deist founding fathers would not have liked the idea of a priest or reverend standing at the pulpit and calling out, "God wants you to vote for McCain!!!!!"

Its part of the tax code. Either way I agree with it, our government has seperation of church and state...and I want my church to have that same seperation.

It's written in the tax code. If you want to change the tax code, write your Congressman.

I really don't see it but the clinton admin used this "rule" a few times. But the Dem's are always in black churches campaigning.

That is a fantastic question and one that I've never considered. One "interesting" star for you.
