Not at all. I think he will seek counsel from a diverse group of experts. I think he will be good at finding middle ground and workable compromises. I think he appreciates that there are a lot of points of view at work in this country. I think he will do his best to work for all Americans.

Absolutely!
He will have the backing of a Democrat Congress – a Congress that has already warmed to his ideas on issues like taxes and healthcare. He will have the star power that comes along with being the American Idol candidate.
Basic political science 101 says that when a candidate runs for president, he always moves his policies more towards to center ... which makes sense, because you are trying to appeal to the greatest number of people in order to be elected. Once the candidate is elected, they can then shift more towards their true political beliefs on the right or the left. Now Barack Obama is currently the most liberal Senator in Washington. Based on this theory, Obama is bound to shift back to the left if he is elected. So my question is ... how far would he shift? With all of this momentum, a mandate from the people and no speeds pumps in the legislature, what would be stopping him?

Yes, yes and yes. Comrade Obama will try like he** to lead us down the path of socialism, as he has already proclaimed.
If you'd like to read something very interesting and revealing go to www.indystar.com and click on Opinion and read the Cal Thomas column. It's about an interview he did on public radio in 2001. Obama suggests the Supreme Court, no less, should rule on the redistribution of wealth, among other things.
The thought of an Obama - Pelosi - Reid triumvirate is a very scary one.

I love the way these liberals throw around the word "fascism". Do they not know that Hitler and Mussolini were both Socialists? How about the fact that it is the Dems who want to stifle free speech with the so-called Fairness in Broadcasting. Is censoring the speech that people want to hear not fascist? How about taking away money from people who do not want to give it so that you can pay off your base i.e Urban Poor? Ridiculous. The Left are fascists. They fit the actual definition. Not the contrived student rhetorical definition.

I don't know about out of control.
He is a far left liberal at heart, and he will have a Dem majority congress with far left liberals leading it. I fully anticipate a far left liberal agenda being pushed through.
Why wouldn't they do it? It's what they've always wanted and they'll finally have the chance to do so.

Absolutely 100% out of control with a democratically controlled congress.
Socialism 101 if obama is elected.

that's a good question. I doubt it. Currently, the US borrows at 4% for 30 years....that's a deal. We can't become more liberal "socialist" because we are already borrowing the money. Cancel the war and we're still in debt up to our necks.
An Obama presidency will lead to better gov't because we'll have to get the money right and that will require leadership...not just mo' money.

Gosh, I sure hope so. After eight, long, miserable years of Fascist legislation, I think it's going to take a "liberal out of countrol president" to swing the pendulum back to some state of societal normalcy.

I doubt it very much. He sounds smart enough not to!
Plus, he got the two houses to contend with...and even though the majority are Democrats but still, not all of them are liberals either.
