Why are we still fighting wars? Didn't we fight the war to end wars?

And I can't help but wonder oh Willy McBride

Do all those who lie here know why they died

Did you really believe them when they told you the cause

Did you really believe that this war would end wars

Well the suffering, the sorrow, the glory, the shame

The killing and dying it was all done in vain

Oh Willy McBride it all happened again

And again, and again, and again, and again

Listen. Seriously listen do not watch.

You could try and ask your own question instead of taking lyrics from the green fields of france by dropkick murphys, instead check out the same cd and listen to last letter home, maybe it'll make a little more sense if you've had to write your death letter and hand it off to your buddy, wars aren't fought for ideals anymore... they are instead fought for the man standing to your left and to your right

First off, I am a pretty liberal guy, except in this case.

War will always happen. Its inevitable as long as certain people refuse to be civilized because they gain more from being animals.

Modern warfare is not about dominating other races or civilizations, its purely about killing people that refuse to be reasonable, but that in itself involves sending good people over to do the job, and they will inevitably be killed.

They are grown men, and they are heroes for knowingly using their lives to take out people who refuse to be civilized.

This may seem morbid, but war is good in that it brings out the worst people who actually want to kill, the people we all know as the narcissistic jerk who lives only for himself, the kind who want to be rambo, and it removes them from the world. The good men dont look for combat, but they do their best when they are faced with it.
