How long did it take you to get pregnant?
I have been off birth control since February or March of which I was on Nuva Ring. My husband and I have been having sex on a regular basis 3-4times a week since then and have still yet to become pregnant. There have been times in which I thought I might be but after taking tests, I'm not. We really want to have children but I am getting discouraged since I know all these people that aren't trying and getting pregnant. Any words of encouragment or maybe something I could try?

I got pregnant with my daughter 6 months after stopping birth control. I went back on the pill after her and when I went off I got pregnant within a month but miscarried, tried again for 13 months, got pregnant and miscarried again, then took another 7 months to get pregnant this time and I'm 20 odd weeks now. I think people try too hard to get pregnant and the stress of trying causes your body not to fall pregnant, which is why people who aren't trying get pregnant, coz they're more relaxed. Few tips would be, mens sperm count is highest in the morning, on days 13-15 after your period starts is when you're most likely to ovulate, so have sex every day on days 12-16. After he ejaculates, stay in the same position for a minute before he pulls out, then elevate your pelvis on a pillow or something and lay there for 5-10 minutes. Also some lubricants kill or slow down the sperm. I've also heard that the bacteria left in 'that area' after oral sex can slow down or kill some sperm too, whether it's true or not is another story. Who knows, but when you're trying to have a baby, sometimes you'd give anything a go. Good luck

Not long, really. Umm...Okay on my graduation night, my boyfriend of 3 years (yeah, we're nuts) and I decided to celebrate and we had sex for the first time and the condom kind of slipped off and next thing I knew, I was pregnant! We decided to keep the baby and we got married.

Took us 6 months after I stopped using the birthcontrol pill. It can take 6-12 months before getting pregnant after you stop birthcontrol.
