WHY Do People have to Act This way Cause of OBAMA!?

I'm white, and I already voted for Obama with a smile on my face. I haven't been as happy to vote for someone since I voted for Clinton over Bush Sr. In fact, I may be a bit happier this time around!

Quick background on me, I work part time at a crappy job, but the benefits are great-which is why I stay. It's down in the hood, I bring my gun to work with me. We have a high population of black folks working there, mainly because we don't do drug testing there and I know for a fact, due to all the invitations I've received, that a lot of these same black folks are into drugs, so it's a great dead end job for them-I'm friends with some, have no problem with what color someone is. I prefer to judge an a**hole by the fact they're an a**hole, not what color they are.

But, what really amazes me, is the pure ignorance of listening to some of them talk....."I'm voting for Obama-he's a black man. Yeah Obama yeah vote for the black man, he'll take care of his own". Even read a news article on Yahoo a few months back on the same thing, they talked to a bunch of black folks and they all said they were voting for Obama because they want to see a black man in office.....I guess he's the Messiah????? That's the way it's being portrayed anyway.

So, please explain to me, how different are the rednecks in my town where I live, that say there's no way a black man should be running this country, are any different then those black folks at work who are voting for Obama just because he's black? It's all the same, the only difference is, if you're white and say anything negative, you're automatically considered a racist. Again with the double standards....

Frankly, I could care less, because any way you look at it, this country is going down the crapper for the next few years, and it's gonna start very soon after the elections. So many are living in this false sense of security, beliefs, and what nots, especially those that think Obama is the saving grace. McCain isn't either just for the record. Democratic congress, democratic president, boy are we screwed......Good luck everyone!

no such thing as a "fully" race remeber that secondly yes we all know that obama is "biracial" but his phenotype says black. lastly read history and know that whats happening (hate)isnt new this will be an experience for those who never experienced

While you are on your soapbox, look behind you. Why are all those blacks FOR Obama? Don't they realize he is biracial. Why are they supporting him just because he is black? You are right about one thing; God doesn't look at the outside of a person, but at the inside. Hmmmm, wonder what our loving God saw in Rev. Wright's sermons.

Obamas policies suck. It has little to nothing to do with race cause if it did Obama wouldn't even be running or much less nominated.

You're under the mistaken impression that I dislike him because of his race. That couldn't be further from the truth. I dislike him because of his plans for this country. I don't think the crap he wants to do will work. I can get along just fine with everyone, regardless of race. Can you?

I think you're preaching about the wrong person here. In my view, it's not his color or non color, it's his policies. It's the direction he wants to try to take our country. We live in the best country in the world, in my opinion, and we are ready to turn it over to someone that has the radical background of Obama, not me!

Good question. I think even if everybody looked exactly the same, we'd still find ways to segregate others. It's human nature, I guess.

It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with issues. Quit trying to play the race card!
