Anti-Creation proponents: If you win and restrict us to ‘churches’, are you going to stop there or wipe us out?

I have often observed the intentions of a specific proponent (Evolution in its case) are hidden within their frequent accusations against those they oppose.

I have heard that the long-term goal of the Creationist Movement is to silence critical (scientific and evolutionary) thought and the establishment of a Theocratic Government (totalitarian, one ruled by a single religious group, i.e. Catholicism) by force if necessary.

What recognized Pro-Creationist group (not some isolated nutcase) stated this as it’s goal? What source does this claim originate? Who said it?

You already know that we will never remain silent, even if we have to use bullhorns from our front steps of the ‘church’.

Is it your intention to silence all though that is contrary to Evolution, by fiat or by force if necessary?

Update:

ANDRE L: I don't care if you think it is whining or not. I have asked the question as I did giving the answers I have seen to date.

I have heard more whining from your kind worries about the end of scientific thought and the establishment of a Hostile Theocratic dictatorship.

All we want is a fair review of raw data from the perspective that the universe as we know it may have been created by some higher being.

Update 2:

I have now read the Wedge Docment.

First, it was intended to be an internal document only.

The use of the word 'overthrow' is poor at best. Yet it's intended readership has an understanding of Romans 13 which commands us to respect the government that is over us.

I do not see anywhere in the document the goal of making ID or creation the ONLY theory taught or held to.

The goal stated is to become the dominant theory, 'King of the Hill' per se. This is the goal of ANY theory, including Evolution who is firmly on top at this time.

It is stated nowhere in the document that the Scientific Method should be extinct.

The document does say that it wants to end the dominance of the Materialistic and Naturalistic world views.

There are logical conclusions that come from a world view that states that we were not created with a purpose. We were a product of chance.

The dominance of a theory does that.

ID's outcome would challenge that world view. We have a purpose.

No, no, it just needs to be kept out of science classes, because it's not science. If you want to shout on a bullhorn about creationism on the street corner or in a public park, knock yourself out.

I have never heard this said. However, feel free to challenge evolution. Scientific theories should be challenged. However, don't lie about it. Don't make up stories to try to prove your side correct.

An example of lying or dishonesty is when Rev Albert Einstein quotes books from 1977 and purposefully excludes the preceding and succeeding paragraphs from the quotes which completely negates his intentions.

Wipe you out? Really? That's what you're afraid of?

Do you think that's even possible? Wow.

You Christians are more fragile than I imagined. It sounds like the whole religion is on thin ice. Is that why you semi-quote 'churches'? Because they're so flimsy they're about to collapse?

This is a good sign. I was beginning to think that fighting the good fight all these years would never pay off.

Thank you. You made my day.

The Discovery Institute. It's called "The Wedge Initiative." It's backed by, among others, Reverend Moon and Pat Robertson.

This most recent whiny "persecution" claim is just loopy.

You all can preach your delusional nonsense where you want to, UNLESS you want to do it in PUBLIC institutions, which includes schools.

You morons need to LEARN that a PUBLIC institution means that OTHERS BESIDES YOU can have a say what goes on there.

So, you are really whining "why are those meanies NOT letting us run EVERYTHING in our society now?". Deal with it.

"What say you get down off that cross, use the wood to build a bridge and GET OVER IT!?" Christopher Titus.

I'm not trying to restrict you to churches, just restrict you from science classes since it does not meet the universally accepted criteria for a scientific theory.

Blast us with creationism from cable TV, right wing radio, fliers, college electives, even high school electives, just keep it out of public science class.

  • No, we're just going to stop you forcing your ignorant crap on our children. You want to teach your own kids that, homeschool them.

Creationism is nothing but sheer ignorance. Ever wonder why you're a dying minority and why the majority of Christians have no problem accepting the facts of evolution? I'll give you a hint; the majority of Christians aren't stupid, and don't have to blindly deny reality to keep their faith.

LLogic wonders how many creation accounts do you think should be taught as science? LLogic wonders if you lined up all the creation accounts and let someone who nothing nothing of any of them read them, would he pick out the biblical account as the "real" one?

are you familiar with the discovery institute and the infamous wedge strategy? and for the record, i'm not for wiping anyone out. however, i think it's stupid to open the door to teaching religion as science. if we open it to creation, then we should accept all religious doctrines, and then we're not teaching science anymore.

I would love to wipe out ignorance. I doubt it will ever happen, but it's a nobel goal to try for.
