There are lots of positives... legal immigrants can help various industries, especially if they are lacking in qualified staff for a particular job. Someone who speaks another language is useful in translation work, just as someone with a different experience of life (race, religion, lifestyle) might be useful in cases involving vulnerable people of a similar race, religion or lifestyle.

I personally think immigration is fantastic. So many of my friends are children born to parents from other countries, and I've learnt so much from them. A person should be judged on their actions, not because they are a nasty so-and-so from whatever country, or else some kind of nasty 'stereotype'.

The main downside, especially in Britain, is that we don't have the room - compare us to America, which is larger in size, but operates much stricter rules on those looking to settle there. Also, a lot of people take advantage and abuse our welcoming system, which is a shame because it ruins it for genuine people.

Mass immigration for first world Social Welfare countries is a disaster, as there becomes many more mouths to feed off the govt teat. However, an immigration program that selects the best immigrants and eliminates chain immigration can be beneficial. We should be selecting the best and brightest immigrants, people who can do jobs that America needs, not allowing millions of poor, uneducated people who can't speak English into our country. To allow millions of immigrants from a neighboring country every year is extremely foolish.

Illegal immigration should be prevented and the trespassers sent back home. Our borders should be secured. A country without borders cannot stand!

Its truly common -- all of it boils right down to how a lot the immigrant provides and/or takes from society. Many immigrants, quite in europe, will take benefit of their socialist structures, and stay very generously off their public funds, the fat of the land. funds raised from taxing the operating human beings of the country. the different one is a feeling of intense annoyance some human beings get even as they see how efficient a foreigner should be, how wealthy they're regularly, how appropriate they stay contained in the nationals domicile u . s . a . -- and they havent even been the following lengthy. They experience threatened, because they're suffering even as the foreigner does nicely. regularly it truly is blown out of percentage -- A mexican favourite practitioner will earn more suitable than an American labourer (in a production plant as an get at the same time).

Immigration can give a boost to the economy because foreign workers pick up all the poorly paid jobs that resident citizens don't want to do, which increases productivity. Also it can be good for the national conciousness to learn about other cultures as it also enriches our own (think about all the different types of food we have that we didn't before immigrants came over and started restaurants). It also makes the host nation better at communicating with other countries and if national citizens make an effort to learn the languages of the immigrants and vice versa we're all a lot smarter.

Imigration is a phenomenon which have exicted through history of humanity and in all the countries of the world. USa for example is a country formed by immigrants, or England is a country of which many people have emigrated and these immigrants have in fact formed new countries in the world. sometimes immigration is rejected for inhabitants of some places for example nativeamericans didnt want european immigrants but normaly this new immigrants didnt really care.

if you hate europeans and you want to subvert our culture identity and values. Affect our quality of life and safety. then call it progression, when we become a minority in the countries we are indigenous to.

however getting a small minority of people who are highly skilled and are needed in certain areas, who will give as much as they take is good for the country like Australia immigration policy. low skilled jobs any peon can do, we should be getting all the scally's off benefits and actually work for a living instead of importing low skilled third worlders

load of bollocks below multiculturalism fuels isolationism and racism it does not solve it.

All immigration nowadays is bad, simply because we are overpopulated. The UK is about the most overpopulated place on the planet and I will not accept tricksters from foreign countries packing more people in.
