Very serious question for Republicans?

It looks almost certain now that Barack Obama will be our next president. Over the past eight years, George W Bush has expanded the power of the executive branch far beyond that which is granted by the Constitution. If Bush is not impeached for this before Obama is inaugurated, then Obama will inherit an office of unprecedented and unfettered power and authority. Based on this, should the Democratically controlled House and Senate move to impeach Bush, or should they instead allow Barack Obama unlimited and unchecked power?

Update:

Let me rephrase the question. Are you okay with Obama having the unprecedented executive power that Bush has claimed for the office of President?

Update 2:

For those who didn't know that Bush and Cheney had broken the law, here are the 35 articles of impeachment which were filed against them. Congress at the time didn't have enough votes to override a presidential veto so they didn't pursue it, but in two months that won't be an issue.

Pelosi should be the one impeached. She's the one who has been doing a lousy job.
