Pre-Med Major's. Going to a Historically Black College & University.?
I want to be on a Pre-Med Track. I don't have a specific major yet but I'm leaning towards a Biology major but I don't have a Minor yet either. I hope to become an Emergency Room Physician. I was wondering what are the top 10 HBCU's I should look into going to. Preferably down south. I have heard of Xavier University of Louisiana, Florida A&M, and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. My Question is What are the top 10 HBCU's down south with Pre-Med?

If you want med school, you want to go to one of the top ranked HBCUs. The top three are, no doubt, Howard (could work), Morehouse (not gonna work for you  ) and Spelman (could work!) Those are the elite.
In terms of the sciences, Spelman is considered very strong. I've also heard good things about Bennett.
Xavier Louisiana is the #1 HBCU for getting black students into med school, so that one should certainly be on your list. Spelman, I believe, is #2.
Others that are considered very strong are Howard, Hampton, Fisk, Tuskeegee, Claflin U, Dillard U, JC Smith.
Of your list, U Arkansas Pine Bluff is not nearly as good as the others you've listed. It's fine, but I'd consider it tier 2, while the others you listed are tier 1.
Please note, you don't have to go to a college that officially has "pre-med" in order to get into med school. Spelman, for example, does not have pre-med, but they do a very good job of getting women into med school. And yet they have no formal pre-med program.
So don't rule out a school just because it doesn't officially have pre-med. You don't have to be "pre-med", officially, to get into med school. You have to do the coursework, and the physican shadowing and etc. I'll give you a link so you know what coursework and etc. you need, so you can plan your schedule even if you don't go to a college that has an official pre-med program:

I will also link you to a rankings list of the HBCUs. While you should always take rankings lists with a grain of salt, this one is pretty good, and at least it gives you a list of all the reputable HBCUs, so you have a place to start your research:

G'day,
First, there is NO pre-med. All the courses you need for med school: 2 years of chem, 1 year each of physics, biology & english comp, plus math thru at least 1st semester calc. After this all you need is a degree: underwater basket weaving, lunar technology, etc.
You might wish to check out the USUHS. Not for everyone, but neat for some. The med school is free.
Get yourself 3-4 med school catalogs and read them. Then go and talk to the admission's office of a med school.
Good luck!

Morehouse has a medical school. They partner with Grady Hospital in Atlanta, but Morehouse is an all male school. So you would need to go to Spellman in order to go to thier school of medicine.
