Blue or Chocolate british shorthair kitten?

I'm having trouble deciding whether to get a chocolate or blue british shorthair kitten? I've heard blues shed less hair & have a more plush coat and look more like the original british shorthair. But chocolates look really cute too. Would love to hear what people think who may have a british or breed them. Thanks

The blues are probably the oldest and most typey of the British SH's as they were the ones breeders bred a lot. However, the other colors are getting more popular and the type is coming too.

Here in the US the chocolate Brit is not recognized yet (I know they are in England and Australia). I like them.

I'm assuming you are looking at pet and not show quality. Blues probably have a plushier coat but as far as shedding, they would shed as much as any other color.

If you want something unique, then go for the chocolate one.

No color is better or sheds more or less than any other. I suggest a chocolate! Blues are common in any breed, but chocolates are quite uncommon. :) Good luck!

Definitely chocolate... they're not as common! I tend to go for the rarer breeds and colors - there's just something about the personality that makes them the ultimate pet!
