a poem for a poet...what do you say?

Drambuie

By Jonni F

Drambuie, Drambuie

sip, sip, sip -

Nectar of Gods

across the lips.

Pour it straight in a glass,

or try it with ice -

Both ways you will find

are really quite nice.

Drambuie, Drambuie,

the legend is told -

our love for you

shall not grow old.

Update:

Ms Scotkin....that may be too much information!!!! hehehe. I've written about martinis, margaritas, and wine. You've inspired me to pen an ode to an old faithful...which by the way, I proudly represent....Cheers!

What this world needs is a bartenders guide to poetry. Poems about the drinks and experiences while drinking, that make the whole bar tending industry worth while. This poem would rate a prime spot.
