How Are the Devils Going to Cope With All Their Injuries?

How Are the Devils Going to Cope With All Their Injuries?

Brodeur, Rolston, Holik, and Greene are all on the IR, and Paul Martin's DTD. Salvador and Gionta left the game last night. The Devils are just outrageously plagued by injuries! Our franchise goalie's out, and so are our two best defensemen (Martin and Salvador), and two of our best forwards (Gionta and Rolston)! Not to mention, two of our Lowell guys that usually get called up are on the IR too! (Leblond, Tallackson) This is crazy...

I think depending on how long Gionta is out for they will look for a trade for a forward. Weekes/Clemmenson will hold out till Marty comes back. Hopefully Salvador and Martin will come back soon. I thought Leblonde injury was minor and he would be out a game but i don't know. They will trade for a forward soon and hopefully most will come back.

They must suck. The Devils need Weekes to step up, and be a good replacement starter. The Devils are going to need to try their best, and wait for them to return. Brodeur getting injured is a downer, but if it's two months (which it is) it's a huge letdown for Devils fans everywhere.

Someone's gonna have to step up.

You can have all the injuries in the world, but if you have guys willing to step up and go the extra mile you might just be fine. Remember the Penguins last year? They lost: Sidney (ankle), Fleury (ankle), Kennedy (mono), Talbot (ankle), Roberts (broken leg/ankle), Hossa (knee).........I'll stop there.....I don't really want to relive some of those injuries........But look where they ended up......2 wins from partying with lord Stanley.

Someone just has to step up.

Listen, you can`t cry about injuries other`s have to step up.

Parise is turning into a major force they still have Elias Madden Langenbrunner etc. it`s not going to be easy but if they can stay in it until they get healthy they will be dangerous!

Shannahan? Could that help our cause right now, IDK, but we are definitively under the "Curse of Newark" right now. WTF. enough is enough. Good thing is it is early in the season and all and all even though we are not a force to be recon with we are somehow holding our own. Last night was a great game in Detroit, we lost to a better team but played our humps off.

Bottom line, could this be a learning experience to get our guys to work great while we are low on talent, and can we hope to be a ball of fire when they come back. I hope so...

Oh my gosh that hit by Meech yesterday was awesome. (Sorry, Sara, had to do it)

Look at it this way: Each injury is a chance for a new player to come up and show themselves off and get NHL experience.

SUCK IT UP AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES..
