A family friend got married, and her new husband's neice was rather unhappy with the fact that allof the attention was not on her. So, she decided to pour red punch all over the bride's custom gown in the middle of taking pictures.

Oh my goodness here is one for you.

A gf of mine had a civil ceremony 5 years ago, when she and her husband were just out of PA (physicians assistant) school. She is very conservative about her religion (christian), and even more ultra-conservative when it comes to money (This is one of the reasons why we get along so well. I'm an admitted bargain freak).

When she and her husband talked about getting married, right after they got engaged. They realized that with the amount of debt they are going to have from going to PA school, lines of credit, car loans, etc. There was just NO way they could afford to have the wedding of their dreams. So they decided to get married just the two of them,(with the blessings of their parents).

On their 3rd anniversary they had about 90% of their debts were paid off. They decided they were going to have a renewal of vows for their 5th anniversary. So they started planning. They got all of the plans finalized pretty early between his mom, her mom, and a few family friends who are in the wedding business industry.

Well when it came down to the invitations, there was one family member she (my friend) did not want to invite, and that was her deceased father's sister. She wanted her cousins there, but not her aunt (to make a long story short, her aunt is a lush). But out of respect for family, she invited her aunt.

The ceremony goes off without a hitch. And then it's time for the reception. They decided to have a dry reception because quite a few of his and her family members didn't drink. So her aunt goes up to the bar and tries to buy an alcoholic beverage. When she was told there would be no alcohol, she said this, "What do you mean there isn't any booze? ALL weddings have booze." So the aunt leaves the reception drives down the liquor store, and buys some vodka (unbeknownst to my friend and her family). Well the aunt got totally wasted and started hitting on the groomsman, the father of the groom, and a few other men. This really made my friend mad.

When it came to the kids dance (yeah.. she had a ton of kids at the wedding). There was a child there with downs syndrome who was I would say about 6 or 7. He was as cute as he could be. Then she shouted, "Look at that lill ******* retard trying to dance." About that time the childs mother (family member from the grooms side), came up and and smacked the hell out of my friends aunt. Then dragged her out of the reception by the hair. Then a cab was called, the aunt was taken back to her hotel room.

The next day my friend and her husband left on their honeymoon. The aunt was told by the whole family that she is no longer welcome at any family functions, no longer welcome to call, write or email anyone, from the family ever again.

When my husband and I were driving off after the wedding we got around a mile down the road when the backseat pops open and we hear a voice say "So guys, where are we going?" One of my good friends climbed in the trunk while we were still inside the house and my brother unlatched the backseat so it would be easier for my friend to pop out. We couldn't stop laughing. We turned around and went back to the house. Everyone was still standing outside they knew what my friend had done. We have pictures and everything of him coming out of the trunk. It was over 100 degrees that day and he was extremely hot. Go to this website and you can see some pictures of that part of our wedding. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2052620&l=7d...

Well my stories aren't as crazy as they are cute. We had rehearsed with my niece that when she got to aisle she was supposed to start throwing petals. Well she got halfway down the aisle looking all proud and looked up at her mother who motioned for to start throwing the petals. When she saw that she looked mortified and turned back and started over.

Also, I had my nephew and brother give me away. When the pastor asked who gives this woman to marry this man, my brother said her family and I do but my nephew (age 4) said no.

If you want ridiculous stupid things that happened leading up to the wedding I could give you many stories. If you want to hear them, email me or IM me.
