Best way to insure multiple cars?
I have six cars that need to have at least liability insurance. Some of these cars I drive very seldom and it is a pain to have to pay for individual insurance on each car when I can only drive one at a time. Is there any way I can get a blanket liability policy that would cover me no matter which car I drive? It seems silly to have to insure the car rather than the driver.
I have spoken with the insurance company and I get a hefty multi car discount. I am really loking for adiffernt option. Thanks for the replies so far.

It really comes down to your State of residence. SInce all State require liability of some sort, some States allow different companies to file different forms to insure different risks.
In Texas, if you had six cars and had only one driver listed - the FIRST thing that comes to mind is: This guy sure has a LOT of "undisclosed drivers!!!!" and they would actually SURCHARGE you - ending up costing you more money.
On the other hand, I have a friend in Nevada that has about a DOZEN cars and he and his wife are the ONLY drivers - and Nevada has a policy that will insure the DRIVER no matter what he driving when, whether it be OWNED or NON-OWNED.
So...to sum it all up - I would call a LOCAL independent agent. Explain your situation to them and see what they have to offer. Someone mentioned classic or collector policies - this might be an option but they are normally VERY RESTRICTED as far as mileage and they just about ALL want the vehicles locked in a garage when not in use. If you can qualify, this might be the way to go as long as they are NOT driven for daily use.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

call your insurance agent, Some cars and motorcycles are classics's, antiques or other and only get driven a few miles or days a year. These get special reduced cost policy's where you might only pay 10% of normal price. You do however have to stay under the agreed mileage and days, and they can spot check your mileage as proof.
It will greatly reduce your costs !

I m with you.
I have several cars and only can obvioulsly drive one at a time.
It would be nice if the insurance company would insure me for the value of the most expensive one and just include any others I have at no addional cost. Seems logical to me anyway...
