The economy or a hairless dog? Where are the priorities?

http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/92026/?fp=1

"Presidential Pooch Watch"

... meanwhile our economy and that of Europe, Japan, probably China and Russia is headed for a downward spiral.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/12/business/worldbu...

"The International Monetary Fund recently warned that the world faced the prospect of a simultaneous recession in the United States, Europe and Japan for the first time in more than 60 years. The Chinese economy, long the main engine of growth in oil demand, is also slowing."

Update:

Faith ... good point. It just seemed to me that until the election the media was obsessed with the economy. Now they want to pretend that everything is ok ... ??? I'm worried about this and I could care less about a hairless dog.

Update 2:

Kay - that is not the point. This was from looking at Yahoo's front page and what they considered important. Our economy is tanking. The stock market is down again.

i'm pretty certain Obama has his priorities right...with the economy. Its the media who are getting excited about the hairless pooch. Makes a good story...its good for their economy. Simple.

You might be watching too much TV's. The first dog is for the kids. All parents love and care about their kids, most of them anyway. But it's different from jobs done by father and mother. My mom and dad really took interest in my search for a cat I wanted when I was a child. I actually ended up with a stray cat came into my back yard, which stayed after I fed him. But it did not take them away from their jobs (they both worked). I'm sure they did their work effectively and diligently since they were never laid off or fired from any of their jobs.
