Anybody know how to rig a cable boat steering system that would work both 1 AND 2 outboard motors? ?

I am looking for a rig that would allow for both steering if one electric motor was mounted in the center of the transom or two electric motors mounted equally spaced. Does anybody have any suggestions... Visuals would be amazing. Thank you in advance!

There are many steering linkages available that operate with a standard steering system. You might need to fashion an adapter for 3 motors. Good luck!

A second drag link from the first engine is the short answer. There are off the shelf kits for every possibility almost, some small modification may be required. Refer my answers to your last question for links to some sites.

Low powered applications will work with cable steering o.k. Cables are able to conduct electricity - which is another thing to keep in mind.

    Good luck.

I have seen two outboards of different sizes set up to steer off the same steering. It uses a tie rod to attach both motors together. Your local boat shop should sell these kits and be able to give you advice.

Typically, the steering is connected to the heaviest engine and the other motor(s) are connected via a tie rod attached to the cavitation plates.
