What's the fastest way to learn Microsoft Word and Excel?
I want to apply for a job but one of the requirements is to know these programs so I'm asking anyone who can help me by giving me any good advice. Please be serious because my husband got laid off and I'd better go look for a job asap. Thanks.

Been there, done that.
Will it be temporary? You might consider going to an agency that places people on a temporary basis. A good way to get your foot in the door.
First, I hope you can afford to buy the Student/Teacher version of MS Office. It has Word and Excel and probably the cheapest way to go.
Second, you buy books and teaching CDs, give up TV and devote yourself to study.
I have purchased books on all Microsoft products, used, from Amazon. The price is right and all I have received so far have been in new or like new condition.

I've used these guys before
The training is pretty easy to follow
They're advertising a monthly pricing, but it looks like they have some free stuff online as well. Not sure what versions you are looking for but here are the links if you want to take a look.
