Is there a way to close 360 acct or make it inaccessible to people other than friends?

or to even close the whole answers and 360 acct? I am being harassed by some ahole that continues to send me their political and religious messages even after blocking them and reporting them. They send me some praise allah crap all the time or stuff written in another language, I have nicely asked them to stop and then not so nicely asked then they started sending me crap from 5 different accounts. I would rather just close the whole thing then to have to deal with such inconsiderate aholes! Thanks for your help!

    Here are your options:

    1) Adjust your permissions on your 360 space so that only connected 360 friends can communicate with you. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/permissions/i... for details.

In terms of messages, invitations, and IMs:

Click your "Edit Contact Settings" link under your personal profile picture on the "My Page." This also accessible on the left side of the "Settings" page. Change the permissions for each section to "Friends" or "Friends of Friends" and click the "Save" button.

    In terms of comment areas:

    TOP PAGE COMMENTS:

    - In your "My Page," click on the "Settings" link for the comment module (in lower left corner of the module). The comments module is the lowest box on the left side of your "My Page."

    - Click the "Allow comments by" dropdown and change the permission to "Friends".

    - Check the "enable quick comments box"

    - Click the "Save" button.

See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-1qCkw2Ehaak.hdNZkEA... for a visual on this.

    BLOG COMMENTS:

    - Click "My Blog"

    - If it's already set up, then you can click "Edit Blog Settings" at the top. Change the permission for the "Who Can Leave A Comment" section.

    - Click the "Save" button.

    2) BUT if you don't want to completely lose your Yahoo ID, then I suggest removing all content and information that you added to Yahoo! 360. Make all your settings (basic info, blog, communication, and every module on your "My Page") set to "Friends" or "Just Me (Private)". The "Just Me (Private)" setting is preferred, but if you don't have that option choose "Friends." Delete all your friends (see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/friends/frien... ). Remove content from automatically public areas like the Personal Profile Picture module and Top Page comments. Change the background back to the default version - either called the "custom" or "classic" theme. Then, that's it. Then, set up your Y/A privacy options as stated above.

You can't completely get rid of the 360 functionality without deleting your entire Yahoo account. The second-best option is to make sure no one who you haven't invited can view a feature and make sure that there's nothing there to view.

    3) Go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/changing_use... and click the Account Deletion link. If you read through the text, you will find this will also delete all associated services for that account like Yahoo! Mail. I recommend removing any content that you've added to your 360 before deleting your entire account.

Also, closing your account will not remove your Q&A from the site, but you can at least make those areas private on your Y/A profile, along with disallowing communication settings.

Click on your avatar on the far left corner of most Yahoo Answers pages OR click on the "My Profile" link on the far, upper right corner of the page. This takes you to your Y/A profile page.

Click "Edit My Info" in the upper left box. Scroll down to the privacy section and check the options:

    - On my public profile, hide my Q&A from people not in my Answers Network

    - On my public profile, hide my Answers Network from people who are not in it

Click the "Preview" button and then the "OK" button.

NOTE: If a COMPLETELY deleted account doesn't result in a deleted 360 space, you can contact Yahoo Customer Care through this Account Deletion Help Form at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/registration... and/or use the 360 ABUSE FORM at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/abuse.html . You can also call 1-866-562-7219, 1-408-349-1572, 1-408-349-3300 Hours: 8a-5p M-F (Pacific). It's possible that you won't be deleted COMPLETELY from the user registration database until after 90 days.

i might consistently save my acquaintances nearer than my enemies, yet as quickly as I had any enemies, I particular as hell might save them on the brink of boot, just to be arranged for what they may well be as much as.
