    jimmy page but only because Jimi hendrix wasnt around long enough to perfect his art

    Hendrix was playing Rock n Roll, and what would later became hard rock & heavy metal, when Page was still playing electrified blues. Hendrix was the innovator of what rock would become for the next 20 years. I pick Hendrix.

    well, all musicians that were lucky enough to see Hendrix in person all claim that he was the best ever ..... so, I guess Hendrix is above all.
