All I have to say is the idiots that want to talk smack are the same ones calling 911 bc their neighbors kids are riding their dirtbikes around their house or bc their 7yo is out of hand and many other stupid calls which officers have to deal with. They are the same ones that want a officer NOW when they believe they have a problem. I just wished as a wife of a officer and as a 911 dispatcher that all these people would fall off the face of the earth. I do believe that there are some really horrible officers that do really horrible things like the security guard or officer not sure what he was that tazed the dad that was holding his newborn child at the hospital as he was walking down the hall (without answering questions) by tazing him he dropped the baby on her head which from my understanding she now has some form of brain injury. HORRIBLE. Yes they thought he was trying to take the baby but they did not give him time to prove who he was. By saying that again I want to say there are a few horrible officers but does not mean all of them are that way. If you notice people who talk smack normally are the ones getting arrested not the ones who are in real need of help. If you don't like them stop bothering them with your nonsense if you don't have a EMERGENCY!!!!!!!

There are those who struggle through wrongful police action ensuing in prosecution that became both severe or in basic terms invented.

All anyone has to do is watch the news or read the papers to see why. Day after day cops break the very same laws that they are paid to protect and serve, with our tax money no less! Do not feel sorry when one of them gets it in the line of duty. Chickens come home to roost. Watch "Cops" anytime if you want to see how they are "supposed" to behave. But when that camera is turned off, they go right back to being the same civil rights violating, steroid fueled thugs that the academy teaches them to be. Cops are the biggest hypocrites of all. They drive drunk more than anyone else, but never get popped for it. Now they have these new little toys called Tasers ( again paid for with our taxes) that they jump over each other to be the first to use. They have guns, pepper spray, batons, cuffs, and now these things. Why don't we just arm them with AK-47s and flame throwers while we're at it. Real smart thinking - putting a gun and taser in the hands of a half-witted 20 something jar head while he's hopped up on steroids ( which are against the law last I heard). There was a time when people respected the cops and felt safe when they were around. Not so today. People fear the cops now. And don't give me this crap about a few bad apples in the barrel. Years ago that may have been true, but today the barrel is about 95% rotten. These days it's hard to tell which gang is more to be feared: Crips, Bloods, Russian mob, or your local thugs in blue who are the only ones allowed to kill, rape, drive drunk, or commit any other crime without fear of arrest.

They need to think about what it would be like to not have any police! Those guys are on the line everyday for us. It is a war zone out there. Some areas so bad the police will not even go in for their own safety. People need to wake up. The only thing between us and that war zone are the Police!

The police are revenue collectors. Many of them are now militarized steroid users and several have harassed the public during peaceful assembly, many have tazered citizens including the teenager that fell off a bridge and had a broken back, increasing police brutality all over the country see Critical Mass attacked by cop for riding bike.

The police have a higher standard to uphold and they routinely do not instead many are over zealous power trip border line retards like the 6 cops that attacked a guy walking home because he had drank at a local bar and didn't drive home. The police treated this guy like a psychopathic killer for drinking a few beers and walking down my street. Years ago they would have given the guy a ride home.

When I was kid in the 70s cops were good guys and served and protected the public now I am more afraid of them than the so called criminals. Any one who has seen the videos of cops tazing and abusing citizens during traffic stops know what I am talking about.

Low self esteem, not nurtured enough during child rearing, anti social and few friends, low wage earners.

I think that it is not fair that they put us all into one category just because some officers have to suck at their jobs and abuse their powers.

They also don't know what we go through, which is understandable. However, I don't put anyone else's profession down, because I know I probably don't understand what they do or what they go through.

It's their opinion and we just have to get used to that not changing and deal with it.

They have never needed one in an emergency. They have never been hit by a drunk driver. They get caught when they violate the law.
