Do you support Obama in not to pursuing criminal charges against Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzale?

Also, why shouldn't President Elect Obama pursue legal action against Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzale who ordered illegal torture, false reasons for going to war in Iraq, spying on the American people and lying to the American people along with generally taking part in activities that have corrupted our reputation and weakened our moral authority?

Yes, I support Obama's choice not to pursue what you call criminal charges because there are no charges. Why don't you stop spewing garbage and cite one law under our constitution that was violated by any of these individuals? You can't because there aren't any. Cite one instance of illegal torture. You can't because there weren't any. Cite one instance of illegal spying on American people. You can't because there weren't any. Our "reputation" as you call it would be more affected by ignorant rhetoric like this than anything any of these individuals actions. Moral authority? You have NO morals or you would not be propagating crap like this. Either you are an enemy of this country or just dumber than a bag-o-hair.

Ordering Illegal torture: arcording to who? If such a thing did happen why then has nothing been done before now? Clinton was impeached for much less why then was Bush not impeached for ordering illegal torture? Then again what law makes torture illegal?

False reasons for going to war: Not a crime and if you want to be techinical congress as not declared war since WWII. Many presidents before Bush have taken this country to war since then and Congress does nothing about it so...not a crime.

Spying on the American People: Still not a crime the government has always done this. Every government does this, not a crime.

Lying to the American People: Not a crime either all politicians do this even Obama does this, its what politicians do. Definately not a crime.

Generally taking part in activities that have corrupted our reputation and weakened our moral authority: Yep absolutely true but still not a crime. Politicians are corrupt and amoral iin general but when you make the laws its hard as hell to be held accountable to them. immorality is not illegal corruption of our reputation not illegal either.

To be fair Bush is only a puppet thus he gets the blame for all of this. The true culprits in this fiasco are the Evangelicals.

Why would they even be prosecuted? That's just ridiculous. Were you in the military? Did you go to war? Well, i was in the military, and I did go to war...voluntarily. I wholeheartedly believe in this war. I went to Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Djibouti, and Afghanistan. The people like what we are doing. All the crap you see on TV is a lie. It's spun up to be something it's not for the liberal media. I was in a position to see satellite photos of Iraq and I saw what appears to be WMDs, then 2 weeks later they were gone. That information is no longer classified, but you people still don't want to listen. people like Cindy Sheehan give the military and the U.S. a bad name. I fought for people like you. Ignorant and swept up on the bandwagon on what you think is a righteous cause. Our country was built on war. War is good for the economy. Weapons manufacturers can employ more people, the military employs more enlisted and civilians. heck, my great aunt is an old lady, but she still works ina factory that makes our tents.

You people have no idea what real security is. You might think big brother is in your business, but if you have nothing to hide, then who cares. I mean, if you actually listened to what Obama was saying during the election you would have heard that he wants to take away our rights to bear arms and wants to regulate the internet. Oh, but you think Bush was alone in the whole listening in on you thing. Bush can't do anything on his own, duh. Congress had to back whatever he wants to pass. I don't know why you blame everything on him when the retarded Democrats have had control of everything in Congress. Why don't you throw some hate mongering their way?

And by the way, Obama was an admitted cocaine user. This means that if he wanted to try to enlist in the military, not even the marines would take him. Ha, ha. He couldn't even be a gun-toting jarhead, let alone a security clearance! Now he's going to run the show? Give me a break.

No, I don't. Biden specifically said that the Obama administration would work with Congress to investigate the Bush junta's crimes.

If Obama does not pursue criminal investigations, he is another traitor, no different from Bush. When our nation allows people like Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II to get away with these crimes, and treasonous acts, it corrupts the whole country. Who should respect a law if the highest office holder does not?

There have been many accusations such as the ones that you have made but there isn't any proof that any of these people committed any crime. Obama is smart enough to know that pursuing criminal charges would prove fruitless and it would divide the country. The only way that Obama will be successful is by being bipartisan as he pledged during his campaign.

Obama is concerned about now and fixing our economy and helping AMericans. Focusing on the past now does no one any good andhe understands that. Congress and the COurts have ordered that all Bush Administration documents be held and seaed for review later. So, Obama may not do it this term, but it will be reviewed at some point and if I were them I would be concerned about that.

I think anyone who violated the law should be prosecuted. However, many of the things you mention (though not all) are not illegal, including lying to the American public (except when under oath).

EDIT -- I am developing a real hatred of Republicans. Who is this idiot above who claims that Obama is a criminal? On what basis? What has he even been accused of doing?

usually you have to break a law (like purgatory, I mean perjury) in Bill Clinton's case for charges to be brought up. If you do your homework you will see the Rep. broke no laws.

May be nature will put some justice over them. You think they will be happy and proud after leaving office?

I guess he will have no time for that. Enough problems in the country for him to solve. it would be time consuming and probably won't get anywhere.
