Can this Rhetoric Truly be Patriotism?
Limbaugh: "I Hope Obama Fails." Yes he actually said that.
Does Rush and Conservatives like him not understand that if Obama fails we ALL fail as a nation and as individuals. How is hoping for your President, your Country and Your fellow citizens to fail considered patriotism? And just to further your own personal ideology. I believe this is decidedly the most unpatriotic thing a person can say "I hope my country fails!" WTF??
Potential RNC chair Ken Blackwell suggested that it is not in the Republican Party’s interest for Obama to create jobs, as that might give Democrats an “electoral advantage”.
I mean really. Whose side are these guys on?? It’s certainly not the American public, The Constitution or the Democratic Process.
Rush even criticized the Republicans like McCain and Lindsey Graham, for having a bipartisan dinner and actually wanting to work together for the better good of the country! He said “I can’t understand liberals honoring their losers".
Please some conservative explain to me how that represents love for your country and its people.

8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWho wants to get in line behind me and B**ch slap Harry Reid?
First, for those who don't know me on here, I am a Democrat, I voted for Obama, and MOST Democrats on my ticket (not all though) I read yesterday that one of the reasons the Auto bailout didn't work was because Harry Reid tried to slide a Pay raise for Federal judges in with the Bailout bill. HOW F'NG irresponsible is that? We have, by some estimates, 3 million jobs hanging in the balance and our economy is the worst it has been in 35 years. And Harry Reid picks this bill at this time to slide a pay raise for Federal Judges? ARE YOU FRIGGING SERIOUS? At one of the toughest times in our country, with 534,000 jobs last month - he slides a bill in to give people raises and kills a bill that would secure the jobs of 3 million others. What are your thoughts on this?
23 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhen did the liberals and Conservatives change sides?
I thought it was always the liberals getting called "Conspiracy theorists" and ridiculed for not believing experts and the facts like the 9-11 truthers. Now it seems it is the Right wing Conservatives that are the Conspiracy Theorists. The guy they are supporting with this frivolous lawsuit against Obama, Berg is the same guy who brought suit against Bush and Co for being the real ones behind 9-11..so when did this happen and do all of you conservatives all believe 9-11 was Bush's fault also?
6 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWill The Supreme Court Rule that McCain was Not eligible To Serve as President Anyway?
Denofrio asked that the court order New Jersey Secretary of State (SOS) Nina Mitchell Wells to remove the names of Republican candidate John McCain, Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Socialist Workers Party candidate Roger Calero from New Jersey ballots.
According to Denofrio, the three candidates are not “natural born citizens,” as required by the Constitution to hold the office of President of the United States.
Denofrio states McCain was born in Panama, Calero was born in Nicaragua and Obama’s birthplace has not been verified.
So what do all of you McCain supporters screaming about Obama ahve to say now? Are you as incensed about McCain as well? Or still Just Obama regardless..
But to tell you the truth a I think its all crap - I don't know the colero guy - but Obama's and McCain's will get thrown out. Just curious as if you would feel the same way about McCain not being a Naturalized citizen?
10 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoLets all Give a Big Thanks To Bush!?
Because without him being so horrible..I don't believe Barack Obama becoming President would be possible.
If the Bush presidency wasn't so polarizing and exclusionist - a man like Obama who is so different would not have been possible - So for that I thank you Bush!
What do you think?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo Republicans Eat Their Own?
I have been watching the news and I've been seeing alot of Sarah Palin Bashing. Not from the Democrats or Obama supporters, but from the McCain people and Republican Party.
Telling rpeorters she didn't know Africa Was a Continent, The whole Diva thing, She's "Rogue" ..Basically blaming the whole loss on her.
If she is supposed to be the future of the Party is it beneficial to tear her down and diminish her Character?
I voted for Obama, and I never was a big fan of Palin, but I think this goes a little to far. I don't see Democrats tearing their own Party apart like this.
What do you Republicans think about this? And What of the rest of You?
16 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow many people think their state wasn't ready for this Vote?

3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhat do the 4 Most Impactful market "Crashes" have in common?
The Top 4 were:
October 29, 1929 then October 19, 1987 , September 11, 2001 and October 3 (to 7th) , 2008. I will exclude Sept 11, 2001 for obvious reasons - but there are the others
I didn't find out until just now that they were all in October - that was interesting.
They all happened in the last year of a Republican President, and curiously always in October. What do you make of this?

Does anyone think she isn't even qualified to be a cocktail waitress? I wouldn't let her be Vice President of the PTA, let alone our country. She is in WAAAYYY over her head. I don't thnk she answered a single question intelligently. Anyone agree or disagree. If you disagree with me please explain how that interview was a successs or instilled confidence in you, and her ability to do the job and speak to world leaders.
19 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoThis is what I have been saying all along - Obama definitely has the advantage?
I have stated in Previous posts over the last few weeks that the problem with the polling is that it excludes cell phone users and College students (Most only have cell phones)
This demographic favors Obama. Given this I thought it was going to be a landslide Victory for Obama when he was significantly ahead before. And although now that the race is closer, Obama still has the advantage because of all the Young Democratic Voters not included in any polls. What do you think? And will the Victory for Obama be even greater than anticipated?
14 AnswersElections1 decade agoJust how Deep in This Scandal is McCain?
Senator John McCain's campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.
That's almost $2 MILLION
several current and former executives of the companies came forward to discuss the role that Rick Davis, Mr. McCain's campaign manager and longtime adviser, played in helping Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac beat back regulatory challenges when he served as president of their advocacy group, the Homeownership Alliance, formed in the summer of 2000. Some who came forward were Democrats, but Republicans, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed their descriptions.
"The value that he brought to the relationship was the closeness to Senator McCain and the possibility that Senator McCain was going to run for president again," said Robert McCarson, a former spokesman for Fannie Mae, who said that while he worked there from 2000 to 2002, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac together paid Mr. Davis's firm $35,000 a month. Mr. Davis "didn't really do anything," Mr. McCarson, a Democrat, said.
And how is it that McCain tried to pin all the Problems of Washington on Obama, when he has been up to this the whole time??

6 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoA Question on The Perception of Socialism, Can you help me with this one?
I recently asked a question about how Posters here felt about The buy up of all these corporations and their debt, and asked If people felt it was a big move towards socialism. SOmething interesting happened, it seems the definition is divided on party lines as well. Most of the Democrats or Liberals (seemingly anyways) said that yes the take over and conversion to state run Business were that, then the Republicans or Conservatives said "No health care is'
One poster put it in this way "Conservatives only think it is Socialism if it helps poor people."
So, what say you YA! posters
Saving and helping Millionaires and Corporations isn't socialism, but helping Poor or sick people is?
Please clear this up for me.
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoThe Single biggest move towards socialism in History?
Bush has initiated action to buy the debt, and therefore the companies that have failed this last week. Essentially de-privatizing them an making them state run This has been described as the single biggest more towards socialism in the history of our country.
So,
1.) How do you now feel about "socialism", is it sometimes a necessary evil given our current scenario?
2) How do you feel about it being a Republican President who is having to make this move towards socialism?
3) What are your feeling about the long term implications of this?
